"Come on Y/N! Give me my guitar back! I need it!" Hunter yelled as he chased your around his apartment.

"Never!" you yelled, running around the couch.

You and Hunter had been best friends for the longest time. Ever since you two bumped into each other at the playground.

He was running from another boy who was making fun of him, and you were running from a bee.

You bumped into each other, you getting a pretty big scrape on your knee and elbow.

He helped you get to the nurse and stayed with you until you had I go back to class. You were best friends ever since.

"Please Y/N?! I'll get you my mom's gumbo recipe?" He pleaded.

You smirked. Then the bribe sank in.

You had been begging for that recipe for years. And it was in your grasp. You loved gumbo, and food in general.

"Promise?" you asked, sticking your finger out.

"Really? Pinky promise?" he groaned.

"Yup. Do it or no guitar."

"Fine." he said.

You two linked fingers and you handed him his Martin acoustic guitar.

"Finally!" he sighed, as he felt the soft wood.

"Come on. Let's have our jam session now." you said, dragging him towards the couch.

You pulled out your own guitar and he sat next to you.

You both began playing random tunes until one fit together. Hunter was in a complete zone, but then played a completely wrong note, very unlike him.

"Hunter?" you asked.

His head snapped up. "What?" he asked.

"Something up?" you vaguely asked.

"No...Well....Yes...Look, I have something for you."

You quirked an eyebrow.

"Okay. Show away."

"Okay..." he trailed off as he tuned his guitar.

After he finished, he began playing a song you hadn't heard before.

Anyway you caught it, she's just staring through her future in a tinted glass

Tears streamed down your face. You couldn't believe it.

You nodded your head.

He wrapped his arms around you and kissed your head.

"You don't know how long I waited for that."
