I watched as Logan chewed slowly. I knew she wouldn't last long with this little act, especially with girls like Taylor baiting her constantly. Melody had also finally spoken up and her intolerant comment was directed solely at Sam. I loved Logan, she was my mate but even I knew her and Sam were tight. Brother and sister, best friends, platonic soul mates as she put.

"What did you say?" Logan asked while blinking.

"About your confused little pet?" Jamie asked and I stared at her shocked. I don't remember Jamie ever being like that, I used to like her because of how nice and generous she was. She was always so considerate and understanding of everyone. My eyes glanced to Finn, his jaw was set tight that a vein in his neck was bulging, he looked like he was vibrating as he glared at Melody. If anything, the only one who seemed to be the most calm was Sam.

"Logan, chill. I don't care what a bunch-" Sam began but she cut him off.

"No, say what you said, but how about you say it to my face instead of looking at the floor?" She suggested.

"You have a confused friend who needs to act normal." Melody spat.

"Since when did Melody do this?" Ryan asked. Finn's eyes were narrowed and Sam just looked down at his tray awkwardly.

"You find your back bone now, Mel? Being an intolerant asshole?" Finn asked her, his anger finally breaking. She hesitated, her gaze dropping to the floor and Logan laughed.

"There it is. Melody, you think your friends are going to protect you from me? Name one fight Taylor has one so far." Logan said while waiting and they hesitated as they looked at each other and I watched Logan's hands, they crept to the edge of her tray. I watched her slowly inch up and I could see it before it happened. 

SMACK.

The tray came out and smacked Melody, she turned as food fell all over her clothes. Taylor and Jamie watched stunned as Logan swung out, punching Melody in the nose. It happened so fast and she tackled her down to the ground, practically leaping across the table.

"New member of the football team." Blondie said while watching. Logan swung punches but Taylor and Jamie pulled her off. She shoved Taylor into a table and grabbed Jamie and shoved her into Taylor. She turned back to Melody and grabbed the collar of her shirt and lifted her.

"If you ever say anything about Sam again I will literally rip your insides out. I had enough of you switching sides, hiding behind someone's shadow. You're a coward." She spat.

"Logan." Her counsellor, Erica Fields said walking into the lunch room.

"I'm not finished with you, Mel and you know me I like surprises." She assured while setting her on her feet.

"Let's go." Erica said guiding Logan out of the cafeteria.

"Did you see her eyes? She was terrifying." Lilith said.

"You all right, Sammy?" Blondie asked.

"Of course. I don't care about what a bunch of girls say." He chuckled.

"You don't have a leash on your mate, Blackwood." Zack said coming over and placing a hand on the spot where Logan was sitting. I glanced at him and raised my eyebrow.

"Because my mate is a person who can do what she wants. Do you treat girls like animals? Dude, I totally get the whole werewolf thing but come on." I said standing up and throwing out my garbage. Zack continued to follow us with a few Youngblood's and his pack.
