lightning strike

chapter 4

Hello, people so I am on break right now and I challenged my self to post a few chapters a day for different books. 

Location:  Aora advanced hanger bay. 

Date: 10/21/2083

My eyes fluttered open from the sound of the jet's engines, it took a minute to remember what happened from hours or the day before. Every single muscle was sore like I couldn't move but the pain faded as my body became more awake and aware to my current surroundings. I looked around at the jet space. Almost everyone was passed out on the floor or on a bench with a pile of blankets for a makeshift bed. I didn't recall anything about moving to a C-17, nothing about it. When I sat up Alex looked at me with worried eyes, he helped me sit up. He handed me some water and some food. when I finished eating the rest of the squad came up.

" did I miss something?" I asked stretching my arms

" no, not really but we are getting sent home" 

" sent home? you mean back to Aora " 

" well we're still going to be doing work, the general hasn't specified " Alex rubbed the back of his neck. He hated to be on a need to know basis and being left in the dark wasn't good for anyone. 

 I crossed my legs " ok then what about me?" 

Everyone looked at Alex " you are staying with my sister and her son for now until other arrangements can be made " 

" your sister?" Alex was going to leave me with a complete stranger.

" she works for one of the most prestigious schools in the country and she managed to get you in" 

I've been homeschooled for the past 10 years and now they make me go to school. I didn't like this not at all. 

" um....thank you,". I shrugged. I looked down at my shoulder, my hair was Spilling purple silver with specks of black and gray. To my surprise, it had changed colors completely from the dark brown that it was almost a day ago. 

" how long has my hair been like this?" I asked playing with the silky smooth strands in my hands

" you don't remember " asked Jay

" remember what.....?"

Alex told me everything that happened from when I gathered everyone around me. I made a force field and held back 10 missiles. Then I shocked a field of armed men and 7 tanks. After I had held back the blast my hair turned the color that I was and from what they told me I was a very different person. They also told me that  I had blown up the tanks.

" wow...I did all of that" I looked at my hand's. small blue shocks jumping from my fingertips.

" yeah you did"

" what about the bullet wound" I looked down at my side, I took off my bandages the wound was completely healed.

Damn

"you're completely healed, " the medic froze " how Is that possible?"

" I have no clue" I replied. I looked at my side stunned the bullet wound was nothing but a small scar. 

" Will, guys promise me something.  you will not tell anyone about her abilities it could put her and us at great risk," Alex said " and especially with the general already on our asses "

I turned to find everyone nodding at Alex's statement. 

" And that is an order"

I wondered why there was a tv in a c-17 but We watched it anyway. noting was really that interesting until we found the CW we watched whatever was on. When we got into the united state borders we changed it to a new channel it was flooding with our arrival and the news of having a child on board with them with them.
