Location:  Aora city
Date: early june. 2084

My eyes fluttered open. Bright lights binded my eyes. Slowly I looked around the room. The smell of a hospital hit my nose. My eyes caught Alex sleeping in the corner. I looked Over at the EKG the small sounds of beeping.

" Alex..."

his eyes fluttered open "  Lryia?"

" where am i?" I asked sitting up

" no,no,no stay down" again I laid
back down

" it's a lot to intake but for now where still in the Aora city, just in a remote location"

" where?" I questioned

" i'll explain but for now i go get the doctor"

I sat there alone for about 10 minutes before Alex came in again but this time with Grayson and The squad. They all showed worried smiles at me. Grayson continued to search cable, I was taking with lane about Jack and Mea. Then the doctor came in along with my mother close behind.

" Alex?"

" your mother was kind enough to help out..."

" help out with what?"

The doctor put his glasses up on his face " lryia im sorry we weren't able to save your arm...."

I never noticed my missing arm until now. What was left was part of my shoulder and wrapped very tight.  Reality hit me. A tears fell from my eyes. what had happened?

" how bad was the damage?" i asked closing my eye's.

The doctor pushed his glasses up  "nerve damage, the bones where beyond repair and infection"

Again I looked down at the bandages wrapping my chest up. I took in a breath, and held it. questions rang through my mind. ' what would have happened if i had said no?'. ' what would my life be if this war had never happened?. A grip on my shoulder brought out of my mind.

" lryia dear Im so sorry this has happened" the doctor left the room.

The room was silent again.
" lryia there's something you should know" Alex looked down

" what is it?"

" Sean he's missing..."

This was no surprise " for how long?"
" a few days now"

Again silence.

After some small talk everyone left But grayson stayed. Didn't move, didn't talk only looked at me. Finally took a breath to say something.

" I know how you feel right now..."

I wiped a tear " how?"

" back at the lab in Pearl.....The lab took everything from me. Constantly they took my organs because of my ability to regenerate so quickly. They'd take my arms and legs and even my heart.."

" im sorry...."

" I can help you get through this...." he came up and grabbed my hand " i can help you get back up"

I looked at him, into his dark eyes. In them I saw pain all of it was pain.

" we should get started then"

After a few weeks of being in the hospital or where ever I was, I was finally able to come home. Tears welded up in my eyes when I saw the house. Quickly Grayson got out and opened the car door. My hand gripped the back pack with my things. The front door opened and Jack  stood there tears in his eyes.

He didn't say anything he just dropped his remote and hugged me. My only arm wrapped around him.

" we thought you where gone..We thought you died...."

" I didn't go anywhere"

" Jack who is it?" Mea looked at me. She ran to me and joined up with Jack.

" oh lryia...."

they let go for a moment and both where wide eyed.
" your arm...What they do To you?"

I told the story that I was taken from the school and been held hostage in pearl for 3 weeks. I had managed to escape them and came back but at a cost. And I had woken up in a strange place and Mea's brother had shown up. Also an secret person had paid for my expenses.

" well hun who is this?" she pointed at grayson.

" a friend..."

" more like a personal aid"

" oh okay"

" also where can I put your things" Grayson asked

" the first room on your left and up the stairs" Mea replied

" thanks"

I walked into my bed room everything was how I left it. I picked up The picture of gang back a few years ago. Then I opened my closet still here. Right away I began unpacking. Avoiding the silver case in my closet.

" Mea's nice.."

" yeah, she's cool"

" so are you still going to continue?" he asked

" there's still a war going on grayson"

" I know...Im asking about lighting love. It may not look like it but the world needs you"

I chuckled " well lets get started then"

We all stood out in front of a large platform. Alex and his team stood up in there uniforms. The mayor  started talking.

" for over 10 years this world has been at war. Thanks to the efforts of Captian Alex and his team. They have taken back Pearl city and the surrounding area and they saved our city but with a cost. may have died and there death shall not be in vain....Today this piece of stone has the names of those who died. May there souls rest in piece.... Captain would you like to stay a few words." He held his hand out for Alex to take his place.

" thank you mayor.....It is an honor truly to be standing here. This war has ended. The horrors has been put to an end. Many that we cant unsee.  Many have died in our cause and we cant thank them enough for there service and we cant thank Lighting strike for saving us on many occasions and helping us take on a threat that has been going on for over a decade so thank you. Heblien  ej denla lryia"

I smiled at Alex when he was up at the podium. And my face went into a smirk when he said 'heblien ej denla' which means 'thank you lryia in pearls native language. I gave a nod at him and looked down as he stepped away. The Mayor looked at him with concern and looked away.

" thank you for coming" right there many reporters started asking questions. and many where about me.

Quickly grayson took me around the crowd and to the gang. Many people surrounded them, when he saw me he  pushed though and gave me a hug.

" Captain,are you keeping in touch with this lighting strike?" a reporter asked
" no comment" 

" where is Lighting strike?"
 
Finally Mea and Jack joined us. We pushed through a crowd and got into a limo and drove away. The celebration went on at Mea's house it was all fun until I saw the news.

" after a few words Said by captain alex today at the pearl memorial today. Many have been asking questions. Why haven't we seen  lighting strike in almost 3 months? well this video might have a reason"

The video was of the day the bomb went down. After the explosion, it was me lying on the ground in a pile of cement. The whole group Trying to Stop the bleeding in my shoulder, nothing had worked. I turned my head away and the memories played in my head. Finally when it was over I looked back and it stopped.

" Where is Lighting strike?"
