The second part to chapter one

I felt the second beat in my side, the shocks going up, and down my spine and through my body. My fingers clenched into a small ball, energy forming inside. My blind eyes started to go blurry from the tears then they came back sharper. The colors came back sharper, faster than anything I could see. I barely moved my fingers and the energy blast hit him. It had to send him flying and hitting the pavement below. The rest of his comrades looked towards the closet, looking at me.

" she's the one" one of them yelled

" get her!"

Tears poured down my face as I saw the horror that was my dad. His face looked at somewhat at peace. Nothing could describe what I was feeling. My heart was skipping beats, my stomach was clenching and unclenching. My fingers twitched with the electricity that flowed through my body. Bright white light from my hands, I felt the surge along my arm as a long white strip fell to the floor and started to drag behind me as I walked towards the men.

" what the hell?!" All of them began to back up. nowhere to run and, nowhere to hide.

I lunged towards the closest one. Putting my body weight on the strip as I swung it. I felt it grip the man smashed him into the concrete wall. When he dropped all there was a blood spot where the skull had shattered and killed him.

" open fire"

I felt the bullets flew past me. The breeze catching it in my hair made my hair's on my arm's stick up. The bullet's shot in front of me dropped to the ground with a small click. As I got closer they each stepped back making the space growing very thin.

I felt a power surge through my body very quickly. The power quickly growing, soon to become uncontrolled. The rain started to pound harder on the glass, lighting and thunder lighting up the sky. Everything froze for a spilt-second. I turned to find men dressed in white combat uniforms behind me. The Aroan military.

I looked at them with tears in my eye's and mouthed help.

My vision turned to the last of the men dressed in black. The power continuing to grow. I fell to my knee's screaming as everything I had bottled up let free. A wave shot through my body, flowing through the near y building's shutting the power off in whatever was left.

" what the hell are you?" The last one standing. I looked up at him tears still going down my cheek's as I stood up.

" Dead" I could feel the trigger's going off at once. One hitting The last man standing and one piercing through my shoulder. The pain was short and soon gone and replaced with the guilt of my father's death.

The surge was gone. The beat in my side stopping, the shocks stopped going up and down my spine. My legs could no longer hold my weight as I fell to the ground blinded once more.

How many people have I killed tonight.? Why can't I control my self? My thought's where going and leaving every second.

I still couldn't help but cry.

" Are you the person who contacted us? " one of the soldiers asked. leaning over my body.

I looked over at my lifeless father.

" What is your name?" one of the men asked. Someone else helps me sit up two strong hands on both sides of my shoulder trying to get the bleeding to stop.

" Lryia canyon" Sharp pain started at the base of my skull and the pain in my shoulder.

" It's not safe here captain with our com's down and lryia... Here" One of them walked over from the window. " we need to move"

" Ok, can you move?" the man who was the captain looked at me. Gripping my hand.

I shook my head

" it's alright..." in one fluid motion I was in his arms. My body in and out of consciousness

" move out" I looked back at my father's face one last time.

" yes sir"

One of the men sat next to me in their humvee " you generated the EMP...?"

"I don't know. It was all a blur" I put my head back on the headrest and let the medic work.

" Well whatever you did kid was impressive and I'm sorry about your loss" The captain looked at me and all I could do was look down.

" Thank you." My voice was quiet.

The Humvee had come to a complete stop under a tunnel, I couldn't see a damn thing in the dark or I had past out. I was still very aware of everything that was going on. I felt being carried to a helicopter, lifting off, something poking into my arm, being blindfolded and the smell of blood, a lot of blood.

" Hey kid you ok?" I opened my eyes to the captain and his team looked down on me.

" what happened after I went out?" I asked. I tried sitting up as a sharp pain went through my body. I decided not to.

" Well after we took off and we found that one your side has 3 gashes and two your heart was about to give out" I looked down at my side the bandages were covered in blood. EKG patches where stuck on my torso.

" my heart?" I asked surprised that I was even alive.

" The EMP did a lot of damage, you should be dead but you were lucky"

" My father, " I asked. my stomach twisted at the thought " what happened to his body?"

" Here I'm sorry they wouldn't let us bury him here...but we were allowed a cremation" they handed a small vial of his ashes.

I looked at them with teary eye's " thank you"

" it's the least we could do" some offered me comforting smile's at me.

"You okay kid?" the captain asked

" Ya, I think so" I closed my eye's the haunting memory of my dad flooded my mind. I couldn't do this.

" Okay." One of his soldier's said

" but also I'm Alex" the captain pointed at himself. then motioned at his men " and that's: Jay, Dylan, John, Seth, and Sage"

" Thank you for saving my life"

" your welcome" Dylan said looking away from me.

" other business, We ran a blood test and we could only find your father in the database but your mother is something completely another story " Alex sat down on the edge of my cot bed.

" she left Almost right after you were born and the thing is she's a self-made billionaire"
