Homecoming was a pain in my ass. Mea had taken me to a fancy dress shop down town to try on dress. Don't get me wrong they where pretty with the beading on them but they wouldn't look good on me. My one arm had muscles, alot of it. Most of the dresses where two pieces and I didn't like the idea of toned stomach showing.

    Mean pulled a few, our stylist picked some and I only picked one. The dresses they had chosen where dark colors but mine was a tinted purple, reminded me of my current suit. Still I tried them on. One by one I dismissed them Mea only like a few out of the 7 they picked. Finally the last one. A two piece mid thigh gown. I looked in the mirror. I held my shoulders back and my chin up and walked out.

     Mea was speechless when she saw. I guess the dark blue color suited my hair color that was some how naturally silver hair. I looked in the mirror. No visible scars where on show other then the long faint one that went down the side of my right leg. My hands shot to the mesh material that was covered in beading right over my breasts. Not like I had much anyways.

  " So what do you think?" Mea asked

  " I...I have no words to explain this" it was true. I haven't seen my self in a dress in quite some time.

" Well then will take it" Mea jumped up and hugged me.

" What will Grayson think?"

" I have no clue but come on we have some things to do at home"

Mea helped lryia out of the car and into the house. On the couch Grayson was sleeping and Jack was playing video games. Jack was a giant fan of shooting games, but the sounds of bullets didn't help me forget the pain of being down in pearl, saving it but now everything was different. The squad need to get down to new heart to stop the council but had no way to tell Mea or Jack or would she disappeared like I did before going to  Pearl. Either way I was going to have to tell her the truth one way or another.

Quickly I sunk my dress up into my room and hid it in my closet. I sat down at my desk and looked at everything. The city has been quiet for a few days. Too many days. Listening for the news down stairs. Quickly I quietly bolted out the door and flew to the tower.

Alex had his men waiting at the door. They where all ready. Me I quickly shifted into my suit and stood ready. Alex kicked the door open and there was Jessica shivering on the ground. Quickly I  ran  her.

" What happened?" I asked

" The court-lryia there coming"

" How do you?" Alex asked

" I don't remember much but a man said they are coming- thousands will die"

Lryia looked up at Alex then back down at Jessica " has Lexi spoken
anything to you?" Alex asked
" No not a word-"

I helped Jessica up and into a chair and stepped back from her  " get your medics here." And she looked back at Jessica " who ever had her broke her. And the only person who knows how to get into this damned place is Sean".

   " Would he do that?" One of the men asked

   " Yes. But he doesn't do things with out intention or reasons" I finally said.

" Right but Sean goes to great lengths to get what he wants" Alex continued
" And that means he will leave a trail of body's behind him"

   I stood up and faced the squad " I want everyone on high alert. If Sean is running around like a mad man.....god help us all"

I stood in the shadows waiting for Lexi to show up. We weren't meeting to fight but as a sister. Alex had Jessica taken up get a quick check up to see if any bad physical damage had been done but mentally. It was too late too much had been done.

    Bright head lights turned into the Ally way. The gun hidden in my jacket ached to be grabbed. Finally a women came out and almost towered over me. She put her hands up and took her glasses off.

" Where's Jessica?" Lexi asked

" At the hospital. She's going to be there for a few days.."

" Any leads?"

" None. Other then the shit of a pendant around her neck"

" If she is truly broken...what about her powers?"

" I don't know and I won't because
Damping them either. She's been missing long enough" I said  And leaned on a wall.

" But Sean has many contacts...he literally could be any where" Lexi said

" he's in the city I know that for sure"
" And how do you know that?" She crossed her arms

" He left her in HQ. Other then the squad, he's the only one who can bypass defenses with out triggering the alarms" I took a harsh breath and held it.

Lexi held out her hands " But where in the city?"

" That's unclear."

" Well once you do give me a call."
Lexi opened the door to her call"

" And Lexi. Stay out of trouble"
She only smirked and drove away.

I walked in my front door and strode up into my room. Grayson was sitting on my bed with a worried expression, as soon as he saw me he wrapped his arms around me. I was stiff for a minute then hugged him back. Tears threatened to come but I held them back.
  " Where were you?" He asked

" Out and about"

He chuckled " Past midnight?"

" You know how it is"
He didn't say anything

" Has Jessica's condition changed at all?"

" Only that they took her off the IV"

" And Sean?"

" No. Police have a arrest call for him. But I'm sure we'll find him"

I caught Grayson's gaze. We only looked at each other. Something else was in his eyes and it wasn't worry. He loosened his grip on me and held my waist. One hand was right under my numb, his thumb barley touched the sensitive skin. I jumped and he only laughed.
" Are you alright?" I asked

" Yes I'm alright." Then out of no where he kissed me.
