Location: Pearl city. Under ground district
Date: may, 2084
We made the underground base our new temporary home. The streets where now full on tanks, landmine's, heavy guns also armed men. Ty found out that this safe house was connected with tunnels that run through the entire city. Also more than 1 million people where just living under ground Hiding from the danger above.
The people where nice enough to let us use the tunnels to get around the city. With this system we where able to map out the city so far 7 blocks have been reduced into nothing but dust, 10 more blocks have been blown up but that's where the tanks are mostly at. Lryia was also a big help with the city.
We also got intel that blackburn higher up council was in this group but her mother had no idea what was going on only that the group needed her aid to complete this so called New tech. She was also worried about jay the traitor in the squad. That he was giving intel to who ever was behind this.
" that's what he told you?" I asked
" yep, I even had a little reunion with my mom and a little thing dropped but she knew nothing of this group, she only knew that her money was needed"
" what did vex say to this?"
" she said everything was limed up right but...."
I sat up in my chair " but...."
" She meet the leader once and he had dark plans but ever something on this scale"
" who is this person?" I asked
" well police files say he's dead but we all know he's not"
" who is he?"
" Chase quinn, 28 when he died, Had a girlfriend, A good life, but from what his family said he wasn't right in the head"
" that means?"
" he had an obsession with radiation and weapons, eventually his research drove him insane and ended killing himself" lryia said
" I don't get it, what's the mo"
" that' s something we haven't figured out yet"
" well let me know when you do"
" alright"
The screen went out from our call. Then I thought what can a video diary help with. It felt good to say what needed to be said incase something happened to Me or any of us. I just laid back in my chair and looked up. Something fell on my face, none of the boys where doing anything. More rocks and dust fell on my face.
Ty came running down into the main chamber, out of breath. I ran to Him helping him up. All 8 gathered around him looking worried.
" Ty what happened!" I demanded
" their tanks are over top of us, there trying to get in, they know where here!"
" that's fucking great" nate said
" where's jay?" I gripped onto Ty' s shoulder
" he went up and found a good spot to lay low"
" alright, Everyone suit up"
Our gear wasn't like normal, it was carbon fiber infused steal armor, over our torso's, backs, thighs, shins, and part of our arms. The helene the had a few chips in them, so where all synced together. We rushed to get ready to go, after final checks we ran out into the tunnels.
The steal door shut behind us. A large boom rang through out the tunnels as we ran. Sounds of gun fire went off in the other tunnel, then screams. I wanted to go and light them up but i'd die in the process. We came up on the stair case that led out side. A warthog pulled up at the exit, lane poked her head out of the window.
We all climbed into the warthog and took off, soon humvees pulled up right next to us. All 3 opened fire at us. I pulled out the giant energy gun I had on my back and cocked the gun. The sides light up, a target showed up in my helmet.
" hell ya!"
I Shot the humvee's taking them out and blowing them up with a grenade. Soon we came into the center of town where the herd of tanks where pointing at us. Next to me I saw lane smirk through her mask. She sped up the warthog toward the tanks.
I cocked the gun one more time, going back to full.
" you have a 5 second window in 3,2,1" Lane drifted the warthog right in front of the tanks.
I held up energetic shield while some of the tanks opened fire. One by One they blew up one at a time with an energy Blast.
Lane pulled the warthog up and we took off again. This time no one was following us.
" hey alex what's going on?" lryia asked
" getting chased by tanks, you?"
" your going to want to here this"
" what ever Is it can wait!" I shot down another humvee
" no this can't cause it's life or death"
I rolled my eyes " go!"
" Jay has powers" Lryia said
" how?!"
" thermal his powers he has, he can use thremal energylike a bomb and walk away untouched "
" oh great put that with a blackburn"
" alex the feed cutting out....." lryia hung up.
With the humvees all gone and allover the streets lane took us to another safe house. This one was the building we first meet lryia. We Climbed up the stairs and there was jay Sitting on the window seal.
" guys you made it here!"
" why here jay, why here?" i asked
" cause why not?"
" you know what this place is don't you"
" oh yeah, where lryia killed 4 guys to avenge her father " Jay smirked
" she was young at the time Jay!"
" no she was in her own state of mind!"
Jay threw a chain around my neck and dragged me too him. He stomped on my chest plate and shattered it.
" oh i'm sorry " he tore of the plate on my right side.
" guys run!" I yelled
" but..." Ty said
" go and i'll meet you!"
The rest of the group ran back outside and took the warthog. I Smiled as they drove away.
" you just made my job much more difficult"
" what killing us?"
" exactly, my boss doesn't like people in his away" his hand went to a fiery orange. He stuck his hand in my side gripping on too my second heart and squeezing it.
I screamed in pain. I tried to squirm out put his grip was too tight. He was Burning the heart from the inside out. Jay pulled the mini heart out and burned it in face.
" say bye, bye to your powers and your life"
with my strength leaving my body, I reached out into my pouch and pushed down on the transmitter. Then I couldn't breathe.
Heavy ran slammed on the city, thunder and lighting blinded my vision. A bright light shined in the room and lighting stood there looking at jay with eyes of hell.
" miss me" lryia said
Everything went into total darkness.
