Chapter 6

I was lucky Lexi and Jessie haven't killed me yet. Even after what I had said to them over a month ago they still didn't get it and I laughed at it every time it came up in a conversation. It's was like now we have a giant rivalry going on and somehow everyone knew and Mea knew as well. I found out a lot about them both thanks to some simple hacking and social media. Lexi was the one I needed to worry about since her mother was tied to the war and the Neotic's in Pearl city and mob dealers in New heart. The two girls and the rest of their group was full of douche rich kids and honestly wanted nothing more than to punch every single one of them in the face. 

Today I'm gym we are running some obstacle course that some company was doing a study for on how this could bring the interest of work out. I wasn't paying attention when the coach was explaining. I helped jack and his friends warm up on the field. When I looked over at the 2 girls one they gave me a dirty look and they were back on their phones. To get back at them I stuck my middle fingers up to the bridge of my nose and brought back down before the coach could call me out, almost everyone laughed but the girls didn't notice. The coach called us over into a group he chose Lexi to go first.

She handed her phone over to Jessie, walked to starting line, shot me the dirtiest look ever. when the whistle sounded She took off running. I was impressed by her athletic ability's.  She did small flips, almost fell a few times from landing wrong and stubbled but continued. When she came back around she couldn't breathe, she almost fainted. When the coach looked down at the time that was also impressive. 

" Show off much?" Rick asked 

 I crossed my arm's across my chest " No, she's not she's got something to prove"

" How can you tell,?" Jack asked

" Watch"

After a few more people went Lexi kept smirking cause all of the others sucked. I looked at their times not as close to Lexi hers was almost under a minute twenty.  Her stance changed frequently and shifting her weight from foot to foot. She definitely hurt her self on that course. I snapped out of thought's when I heard the coach call my name. I walked over to the start line, tested the weight on my feet and gave a nod. 

I ran it when the coach blew the whistle, I could the air leaving my lungs. The burning started in my lungs and started to travel up my throat. I looked at the sky that suddenly began to go dark the cold fresh air had started to take the burning away. My vision had gotten sharper as the tires came, then I realized that my second heart had started triggering the sudden dark rain clouds in the sky. When I looked back down I had to forget about my power right now. Act as nothing happened.

my feet started to go into a fast zigzag across the tires as I ran. Now I was running on instinct.  I jumped and grabbed on to the bar, the pull sent pain all the way down my arms as I jumped to the next bar. Finally, along wall came into view after I jumped down from the bars. I sprinted toward it, jumping grabbing the top and going over in one solid, fluid motion. I came back around my time was a minute five. Everything had started to calm down slowly as looked around at everyone. resting my weight on my knee's I looked at the two girls looking at me with utter shock.

" We have a new record students" the couch yelled 

" WHAT HOW!?"Lexi almost screamed 

" Lryia broke it ask her" the coach pointed at me. 

" Couch but......" Lexi complained 

" Lexi deal with it" the couch went back to his clip board. and had the look of the devil on her face.

" how are you not out of breath as I was?" she asked 

" I'm a pro with this  kinda stuff back home" Jack threw me a bottle of water
