chapter 24 ( wattys 2017)

Location: Aroa city
Date: late may. 2084

The landing couldn't have been more painful then it was. Sean did all he could to get us through the city. We crash landed in the main park. our breaths where heavy from the crash and the military pointing guns at us Through the smoke.
" come out and surrender!" a solider yelled
" not a chance" Lane used back
" we will open fire if you don't come out"
" MAKE ME!" I yelled

Everyone hide in the jet in the floor while the smoke cleared up but me. I sat there pretending to be unconscious from the crash landing. The men from out side was now pouring into the jet, the mask formed on my face that was white and black, black mostly. The color of my eye's turned gray and my marks are slowly glowing in the dark.

" sir it's Lighting" one of the solider said.
" that's where she's been in Pearl?!"
" she's alive sir but her powers are all on alert"
" take her to blackburn labs see what they can turn up" I caught a slight glimpse of the generals badge. The one from the ware house.

Now I was surrounded by men with Pearlian military tech. when they finally got my seat restraints undone I fell to the floor. Continuing to be dragged out of the jet, the light blinding me.

" Why would Lighting be in pearl!?" The general yelled
I slowly got up using a silent take down to take the 2 men holding me. I disabled there guns and leaned up on the side.
" To clean up your mess" I said glaring at the general
" How did..."
" Please general i'm pleased to be in your presence" I bowed
" your supposed to be dead!" He shouts
" Haven't you herd I'm hard to kill"
" So are we" the group was standing right behind me.
" Why aren't you DEAD!"
" cause you and your damned court"
" that bomb was supposed​ to kill you!"
" I Guess that bomb wasn't much of a problem

The place went up in smoke, everyone​ one else made there way out and knocked out guys while at it. I grabbed the general and flew away from the scene.

We went back to the tower and went over the plan. Now we where waiting for the general to wake up. finally when his eyes started to open we all stood up.
" well it's about time!" ryan said
" where the hell am I?!"
" we are going to make this​ simple geberal you answer some questions for us and will let you go"
" if I don't" he raised an eye brow
I leaned over him in his chair " you'll be going back in a body bag am I clear!"

The fear in his eyes was rising little by little now all we needed was answers. Alex stood behind him and made sure his loaded gun was scene and his hand covered in smoke.

" so first question where is the court's central headquarters?" I asked
" new heart city"
" how many people work for the court?"
" too many to count"
" what about the inner circle?" Alex asked
" 8 of the richest "
" and those are?"
" you'll have to find out for your self"

A bullet shot through a window
and hit him right between the eye's. We all moved away where they couldn't​ See us. After a few short minutes we looked and the shooter was gone out of sight.
" everyone​ good?" Alex asked
" oh shit"
We all looked at the body in the chair " damnit!"
" what now?" lane asked
" we save the city"

I put on the suit that I first wore when i started this whole hero thing but this time it had a purple hue to it. I zipped it up and tied my hair back. the belt hung off my waist a bit but it worked. The new kid handed me a gun and I loaded it up. I slid the fingerless gloves on my hands.
" lets go!"
" alright everyone move out!" Alex called

The sky was almost black with clouds, Given the time of day it was normal. Thanks to Sean and jacks apple watch we where able to track them. I looked again at the building it hit me so hard in the face. Black burn head quarters was on lockdown, The footage was long gone and many police and pearlian military waited down at the entrance.

" how do we get in?" lane asked
" we shut down the power " my voice was cold as ice.
" okay and how do we do that?" Alex asked
" the off stem grid"
We all looked at the new kid " this building was on its own power grid... Once the power is Out then we can go in"
" well that settles that, once where in we get lryia's family out then stop the real bomb"
" lryia I promise we will get your family out and safe okay" Sean said which really didn't help.
We landed in the parking lot some men held there guns up at us.

" easy where here on a hostage case" alex said
" sorry sir, many of our military has betrayed us"
" right, now where are​ we on the door"
" it's reenforced steel nothing really works"
" not for me" the kid went up and blasted the door down with a few strikes.

I went up and patted his head and ran into the building. All of where lights went red from the lock down. I kept hoping in my mind that they where​ still alive but another part said something​ else.

The next door we came in was on the floor that wasn't on lock down. The door was eleteronicly locked from the inside.

" what do we do now?" sean asked
I smirked and went up to the keypad and over loaded it causing it to open. In the room there was Mea and jack on the ground tied up. I ran to them not caring if my face was on show.
" lighting" jack said His voice was dry
" im here to get​ you out"
" look out"

Once I looked behind me one of the jay twins came lunging at me. He had he thrown into the wall.
" go get​ them out!" I yelled
" I can't leave you" grayson yelled
" go i'll be right behind you!"
