chapter 10

Location: the clock tower

time: 3 am

I looked at the bright computer screen then back at Lexi who was sleeping on the bed over in the corner. Her facebook was something but her Instagram was where all the drama was and was somehow still around. I looked threw hers and Jess's conversation she was being threatened with her life. One message from last night revealed what Lexi was going to do but didn't have enough time to get away. Her medical records showed she had a history with abuse cases and cutting. She was born in Pearl city but moved here when she was a child been here ever since.

Lexi and Jess had been friends for so long now why would someone cross them like that. I looked down at my phone almost 3 am and I had something to get back at Lexi and maybe get her in trouble with the police. Maybe I would have a chat with her myself. But it was really her that has Lexi kidnapped there was going to be problems, big problems.

my whole body hurt from last nights fight. We were lucky that Lexi wasn't hurt any more than what she already was. I had a few good scratches and large bruises. More things I had to hide from Mea. I let out a moose call and fell back in my chair.

" tough night?" Dante was walking my way.

I rubbed my face " yeah, it was" 

" why don't you take a break from all of this and sleep"

" for one Dante, Mea is going to kill me later and 2 I just can leave Jess here" I rubbed the back of my neck. I made my way to another chair and sat down.

" I know you can't leave her even though you've known her for 4 months "

" she was with the all high and mighty but now she's hopeless, she has no one" Dante sat next to me.

" I know that's why I'm not just going to leave her"

Dante began messaging my shoulders and the back of my neck. It was making me more drowsy every second. When he stopped, I looked at him barely keeping my eyes open. Dante stopped for a second and went back to messaging my neck.

" you bastard" I slowly fell sleep on the table.

Dante picked me up, I wrapped my arm around his neck. He brought me into this side room at this point I didn't care. I didn't have enough energy to change, I was basically asleep before my head it the pillow. 

" night"

" bastard"

I woke up in the clock tower. I headed down the stairs to find Dante dead with a bullet in his head. Jess was also dead with a knife through her liver. I collapsed on my knees and hot tears ran down my face. I grabbed Dante body and held it to my own the warmth was already gone. I could feel my powers acting up now. Something I couldn't control with emotion.

" I'm sorry I let you down" I heard bullet shots coming from outside. 

I ran outside to find Damien, jack, and Mea dead. Their eye's looking up at me. Sitting in the old lawn chair was Jess holding a pistol. I looked down at own hands I was in my suit then Jess had someone behind her. My father. 

" come on lryia what's your True Fear" then she shot my father. He fell and disappeared into nothing. If felt like I was going through the pain again, the pain from that night was all coming back and I didn't know if I could take it again.

When I looked down at the blood on my shoes and then my surroundings I was in Pearl city. The building my father and I took refuge in. where he died. And where I found my powers.
" you can't master your powers " a dark figure came through the wall. My mother 

" I can and I will" I could feel the power starting to act up.

" oh well then " Jess had brought out Dante from the back and threw him on the ground. Jess and I had very similar traits. No this couldn't be.
