Jessie didn't know what stop was. She just kept coming but in her eyes, she looked like she was losing interest Fast. Still, she still threw her punches and still, I Dodged them. Ducking, moving my feet in a very coordinated way. And I smiled at this.

" what's wrong jess you lose your sense of interest" I teased.

Jess just gave me a pissed off look " no I didn't "

" it looks like you can't even get a punch "

" I'm going to kill you, " she said through gritted teeth.

"I'd like to see you try "

The next thing I knew was that I'd heard screams as everyone ran in different directions. Some of the party attendees looked down on me. It took a moment to register what had happened. I felt the wind not out of my lungs as I got up. As my balance restored I looked at the dirt path I had made when Jess had punched me through. Now I knew she had some sort of secret abilities or power. No one walks away from something like this.

As I walked back to the ring I noticed Landon Standing right next to Jess. Both of them had sadistic smiles on their faces. Somehow Jess had got her hands on a handgun and it was aimed at me. I pretended to look petrified at the gun pointed at me along the way my footsteps came to a sudden stop.

" you should be in prison" My voice started to shake and tears rolled down my cheeks.

" I know I should be but I had work to finish"

I couldn't say anything after that. What kind of work was he talking about? Something didn't seem right. Nothing at all. After a moment of silence, My feet began to move and started into a run. And I slid under the rope's on to the ring knocking Jess on to her back and Landon unsteady. Landon was a different story a much different story.

I stood on the edge of a high rise building looking down at the landscape or what was left of pearl city. Now It had been a couple of months since I was found and my father's death. I was expected to recover so quickly after all of the intel we had just collected and it didn't surprise me at all what my parents had done to get where they where. To get me where I was. Footage from the hack showed me thing's I didn't remember. Things They made me do. That could never be forgiven. Still, every single time the landscape still calmed my nerves something about the high rises that haven't been touched then the smaller buildings that have been blown to piece's seemed peaceful to me. But yet I didn't know peace not fully.

I turned to look at the roof door being opened and Alex stepped through along with a man dressed in heavy battle gear. All black Gear. I pulled out my gun and Alex had stepped in front of him. He gave me the look that he always gave me when my nerves were pushed over the edge.

Alex put his hands up " easy, he's with us"

" and how am I supposed to know that"

Alex frowned " ever heard of the blackjack spy ring?"

" Blackjack? And why is he here?" I asked

" they work for us, well with us actually"

I looked at The man in the black gear and Alex. I had no choice to trust him. If Alex did I had too. Slowly but surely I put my gun back in its holster and crossed my arms. After that the man saw that I wasn't holding a Firearm, his mask came off. And I wasn't surprised at how young he was. Nowadays teenagers fought, anyone with any fight experience fought in the military that took over Pearl and sometimes fought alongside the Aoran military. I scanned up and down his body, all of his guns. And the faint smell of pine hit my nose.
