"Left."
"Are you sure?"
"Come on," Logan groaned. "That was one time."
I smirked. "Just checking." I veered my motorcycle to the left and started heading towards the bay, where giant cargo ships with the crates waited to be shipped off.
"There looks to be around ten asshats there, no sign of Hypothermia."
"What's in the crate?" I asked, wondering why exactly Hypothermia would be shipping cargo.
"The hospital was robbed last night. Almost half of their Lachter vaccines vanished. So probably unicorns."
I scoffed and pressed my watch up to my ear, the feedback ringing through my head and luckily Logan's too, making him shriek.
"Will you cut it out?!"
I snorted. "Sorry, it's funny."
"I'm telling Aubrey." He whined. That seemed to be his excuse for everything these days.
I pulled my motorcycle behind a car outside the dock and crept past the toll booth towards the five hundred section of crates.
"It's number five thirty one, but the entire five thirty section is surrounded by asshats so- woah hold up."
I froze in my spot and ducked behind a container. "What is it?" I whispered, scanning my surroundings.
"Are there any new vigilantes we know about?"
"I don't think so. What are you talking about? Why?"
"'Cause there is this dark haired chick wearing spandex that I've never seen before, and I know my vigilantes really well."
My stomach dropped. Great. The one time I'm alone I get a new threat. Fantastic.
"How tall is she, how much does she look like she weigh, and what weapons does she have?"
"Looks about five four, a hundred twenty pounds, a spear, and there is a bald cap peeking out of her wig so she looks like a newb."
"Can you get facial recognition?" I started towards the five thirty section again, carefully scanning my surroundings.
"I'd like to say yes but she has barnacles all over her face."
"Sweet pea, that's not a very nice thing to say about someone with acne."
"No, I'm serious, barnacles the size of quarters all over her face. And I thought we agreed on Iron Hacker."
"I still like Sweet Pea better."
He grumbled and I shushed him as I approached the shipments, where sure enough around a dozen Frostbite soldiers stood guard, a girl with literal barnacles on her face in the center of them.
She was almost exactly like Logan had described, short, thin, with long curly black hair that cascaded down her back pinned up in places with crappy seaweed clips that looked like they had been bought from Claire's. Her whole outfit screamed Justice from her ocean blue leggings to her cerulean jacket with a seashell printed on the front.
"God, will the ship ever get here?" She scoffed like a whiny teenager, her voice echoing like she was speaking underwater. I want that effect.
One of the asshats grumbled. "It's only nine fifteen, Barnacle girl."
She shrieked. "It's Amphitrite!"
"Voltage," Logan's voice hissed over my ear piece. "I just lost sight of the dock."
