A/n - Sorry it isn't exactly what you requested! Also it's super short but I think I did good seeing I know absolutely nothing about ice skating 😅

'Click' the locks on my car sounded as I walked away from the parked vehicle, backpack full of skating gear over my shoulder. Ice skating that is. A sport that came natural to me which confused many people, especially Ted, my boyfriend of a year.

Even though he wasn't very good at it himself, he supported me and my ambitions since we met.

He was actually planning on going to the rink to practice with me today, but had to stay for football practice and said he'd meet me afterwards. It was a pretty far drive, a couple towns over actually, so it'd probably be a while before he showed up.

I opened the door to the nearly empty building and stepped inside. I hurried anxiously over to a bench and started strapping my feet into my favorite pair of skates.

I was on the ice for about an hour when I finally landed the newest trick I'd been working on for the past month.

I grinned victoriously to myself before hearing a loud cheer and clapping from outside the ice.

My head shot over to see Ted and a camcorder.

"Great job babe! I told you you could do it!" He grinned, clapping once more.

I smiled sheepishly as I made my way over to him, wrapping my arms tightly around the jock out of both love, and keeping my balance.

"Hey," I kissed his cheek softly, "what's with the camcorder?" I raised a brow slightly.

He rested his hands gently on my hips and grinned excitedly, "well... I was talking to my dad and apparently he knows a guy that might possibly be able to get you into that school you wanted?"

I playfully slapped his shoulder, "you're joking!"

He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me against his body and kissing my forehead, "nope. I'm having my dad send this in as soon as I get home, and he practically guaranteed a scout would come out."

I wrapped my arms almost too tightly around his neck and squealed, "you're the best Ted! I can't believe you'd do that for me!"

He chuckled, "I know, I know. Thanks to my dad though." He pulled back from the hug to look at me, "now that that's out of the way, didn't we come here to skate?"

I giggled and watched as he strapped his skates on, nearly falling as soon as he stood up.

"Okay I'd like to see you go on a football field and excel at that before laughing at me ice skating." He pouted.

I mocked his pout then led him across the ice as I skated backwards.

His grin returned, "you're lucky I love your smartass."

"Mhm," I hummed, "I guess I love you too."
