"Hey Y/n! What brings you to this side of campus?" Vance called over to me as I walked through the parking lot entrance. I turned my head, smiling and walking over to him and Peanut.

"I actually came over to talk to Norton, have you seen him?"

"I saw him walkin over that way a while ago" Peanut pointed towards the garages.

"Why do you want Norton?" Vance raised an eyebrow, jealousy evident in his tone.

"I uh just wanted to talk to him. I'll see you guys later" I awkwardly shuffled away.

I made it around the corner and past one of multiple garages when I heard a cough. I looked in every direction but couldn't spot anyone. It was really close too. That was weird.

I heard it again and looked up, Norton was sitting on top of a garage, legs hanging off the edge. I made my way over to the ladder, only speaking once I was at the top.

"Hey, mind if I join you?"

He looked over at me and hesitated but nodded, "yeah, c'mon up."

"Thanks," I smiled sweetly as I took a seat beside him, "what are you doin up here?"

He took a few seconds to respond, "the sun's about to go down."

I smiled sheepishly at my lap. It's cute that he enjoys sunsets. Other guys probably would've lied, saying something stupid like 'thinkin about kickin someone's ass'. Norton always seemed different and that's what made me like being around him.

"What?" He questioned defensively seeing my smile.

I looked up into his eyes, still smiling, "you like sunsets" I stated but it sounded more like a question.

"So what if I do? Who asked you anyway" he defended once more, furrowing his brows.

I rested a hand on his shoulder, "that's not a bad thing Norton" I flashed a reassuring smile as he scanned my face to see if I was messing with him. I removed my hand, resting it on my lap, "I love sunsets."

His face shifted into a more relaxed expression as he looked away from me, back to the sky.

"You don't seem like the type" he stated quietly.

I chuckled lightly, "neither do you Norton." I nearly whispered, resting my head on his shoulder. His body tensed instantly, slowly relaxing.

We sat in silence as the sun went back into hiding. Every color in the sky had turned to black. The only source of light on top of the garage being the moon.

"Thanks for sitting with me Y/n" I lifted my head from his shoulder to see him looking directly into my eyes. His eyes quickly averted into the distance, a barely noticeable blush covering his face as he rubbed his hands nervously.

"I didn't think anyone else at this hell hole would enjoy the small things, y'know?" His eyes shifted to his lap as he hung his head down a bit.

"Yeah... It makes things easier not being alone" I smiled sheepishly up at him, resting my hand on top of his. He turned his hand under mine, intertwining our fingers. He turned his head, his eyes meeting mine once more, not turning away this time.

"Does that mean I'll be seeing you more?" He smirked.

I grinned ear to ear, "yes.  Yes it does... You're stuck with me now."

He let out a quick laugh and cocked an eyebrow, "is that suppose to be a bad thing?"

"I guess not..." I felt my cheeks burning as I quickly turned my head in attempt to hide it.

My attempt had failed when Norton put his other hand on my cheek, bringing my face back in front of his. I felt his warm breathe on my nose and mouth as he slowly leaned down.

I sped up the action by quickly smashing my lips to his. Our lips moved in perfect sync as he removed his hand from mine, placing it on the rooftop beside me to lean in closer.

I turned my body to face towards him, tightly wrapping my arms around his neck.

We finally pulled apart at the sound of someone clearing their throat, us both panting lightly.

"You guys couldn't do that somewhere else? I don't want to see that" Vance barked, brows furrowed.

"Shut up and go away" Norton intimidated.

"Pfft. Whatever" Vance huffed, walking off.

We were quiet until he was completely out of sight. I spoke up first not really knowing what to say, "so it's getting late... I should get going." I stated as I stood up, Norton quickly getting up with me.

"I um. I'll walk you to your dorm." He offered quickly, motioning for me to lead the way.

"Yeah, okay" I agreed, smiling shyly. I made my way to the ladder, carefully climbing down.

Norton came down the ladder quickly, jumping off at the last few steps.

He held out his hand. I smiled to myself and blushed yet again, placing my hand in his.

We made small talk about school and our home lives during our short walk, reaching the dorm sooner than I'd liked.

"You should come sit with me more often" Norton was rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"Definitely" I put my hands on his shoulders, pulling myself up to kiss his cheek. He pecked me on the lips quickly but sweet before I pulled away.

"Bye Y/n"

"Bye Norton" I looked at my feet, anxiously glancing back up to see him gone. I never knew Norton would have a soft side. It's nice.

I woke up the next morning as the sun started to rise, reminiscing in the memories from the night before.

I'll never be able to look at a sunset the same way ever again.
