A/n - I hope I did this idea some justice 😂

'I need your help' my phone lit up with Vance's name above the message. Luckily I was already staring at the blank screen or I probably wouldn't have noticed it, seeing it was on silent. Hatrick was a real ass when it came to electronics in class.

'With?' I replied carefully so it wouldn't get noticed.

'Just hurry over after class'.

I sighed. 'Okay. But this better be important.'

'It is.'

I watched the clock as Hatrick continued with his boring lecture. Luckily there was only a few minutes left of class.

The bell sounded throughout the building and I darted out the door. I threw my books into my locker and hurried out of the building and towards the garages.

I finally made it to the garage I usually met Vance at and threw the door open. He was just sitting on a counter calmly swinging his feet.

"Okay... I'm here. Where's the emergency?" I raised a brow.

"Can you cut my hair?"

I scowled, "you seriously made me rush over here for a hair cut?"

"It's an emergency Y/n," he hid a small smirk. For some reason he always found it funny when I got mad. Which usually, of course, only pisses me off more.

I sighed, giving in and walking over to him, "fine, what am I doing?"

He grinned, kissing my forehead in joy. Luckily he walked over to grab some scissors so he didn't see my face turning red.

We've grown close over the past few months and I can't help but to have feelings for the prick.

He walked back over, carefully handing me the scissors.

"Your hair looks nice without all the grease." I hopped up on the counter so I could sit higher than him, seeing there were no chairs in the damn garage.

"Yeah, well don't get use to it." He scoffed, walking over and standing between my legs. He held up a comb he'd pulled out from his jacket pocket.

"Okay... Asshole," I laughed as I combed through his hair.

"I didn't mean to sound rude," he chuckled nervously.

That's the closest thing to an apology I'd ever get out of him for anything. Which actually is a good thing because he never apologizes to anyone. For some reason he will to me occasionally if he notices he's being a jerk or if I point it out and he agrees.

I wrapped my arms around him in a loose hug, resting my head on his shoulder, "It's alright but you're still an asshole. How much am I cutting off?"

"How bout half a inch this time?" He turned his head slightly to look at me.

His eyes met mine and my cheeks started burning at how close his face was to mine.

I sat back up and combed the last bit of hair, "y-yeah. That's cool."

I started snipping at his hair without another word.

I met Vance in shop class. The last available seat was next to him and even though we could sit wherever we wanted after that, we always sat next to eachother.

We made small talk at first then eventually got to know eachother some more. He was talking about how he needed a haircut and I offered since I had taken a few cosmetology classes at my old school.

He took me up on the offer and since then I've been cutting his hair. And we've gotten fairly close.

I finished cutting the last bit of his hair and ruffled my hand through it. He didn't get pissed at me this time though.

I was about to hop down but he turned, placing a hand on either side of me while still between my legs so I couldn't get up.

"What's wrong Y/n?" He genuinely seemed concerned.

My face started heating up, "I uh, what do you mean?"

"I mean, we do this about every other week and you're actin strange today. What's wrong?" He put his hand under my chin, gently forcing me to look at him.

I bit my lip and thought about what would happen if I  went for it. It could be the end of our friendship? Ah, what the hell.

I grabbed his shoulders, quickly bringing myself to the edge of the counter, forcing my mind to go through with kissing him.

It happened so fast, I didn't notice he was kissing back until a few seconds later. I finally relaxed, releasing my grip and wrapping my arms loosely around his shoulders.

He smiled into the kiss, pulling away for only a couple seconds before going at it again, tangling his hand in my hair.

It was slow and sweet, and over way too soon.

I looked nervously at my lap once we parted.

He gently brought my head up again, "I'm actually glad you did that." He smirked, pecking my lips once more then letting go of my chin.

"That's a relief." I spoke softly and sighed.

"What do ya say we go out right now? We have plenty of time before curfew and I need to make up for not kissing you first." He grinned.

"I, uh... Yeah. Yes." I stammered causing him to chuckle.

He helped me off the counter and took my hand in his, we were almost out of the garage when he stopped.

"I have to grease my hair first."
