Today is the day they pick my position as a knight. I beat everyone yesterday. So I should have a decent spot as a knight. But I never felt this nervous before. With my dad dying and with everything else that's going on, I just feel stuck.

Maid Erza woke me up again at her usual time. I went to the back of the castle so I could take a hot bath. Once I finished I dressed into a light dress that was perfect for sword fighting. Once I finished getting dressed I went to the dining room to eat my breakfast. In the main dining room there was fruit platters everywhere. I selected strawberries and started to eat with a side glass of orange juice. Once I finished I set off to the planning room. There, the knights will be deciding where to place me.

I entered the planning room to already see most of the knights there sitting down and discussing something. But they stopped once they saw me walk in. I made my way to an empty seat and awkwardly sat straight. The room was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Natsu was the one who shut the door.

"Lucy..." Natsu started. "It seems that most of the knights here want you to take my position. But you already know the rules. You need to have a bond with these knights. Which you don't. But we came to agreement. You, Lucy Heart, will have the position of second in command. So Steven decided to retire," Natsu finished.

"What does that mean for me during the war? Will I fight?" I questioned him.

"You will be allowed to battle with us when we go to war," Natsu stated coldly.

I was so shocked. I have a really good position.

"But!" Natsu cut my thoughts off.

"You will not be allowed to enter the Village under my King's orders," Natsu finished.

My parents still don't want me to see or send letters to Levy.

"Give me your sword," Natsu demanded.

I did what he told me. And I gave him my sword. He put a wooden barrier with the Kingdom's crest on the slate that goes over my swords blade. It was official. I was one of the best knights in the kingdom!

"You will be responsible to come to every single meeting, no matter what! If you cannot at least do that we will be allowed to take your title away from you. And you will go back to just being a princess," Natsu claimed.

I nodded.

"Alright! I need everyone to leave so I can tell Lucy her job for the next week and a half," Natsu demanded.

Everyone started to leave. But some said congratulations to me before they did as they were told.

Once everyone left, Natsu told me I have to be on guard and visit the knights house to make sure everything was in order at least every three days. But I could go everyday if I wanted to. But he asked me to go today. Because Steven hasn't went since last week. And we haven't heard anything from them since last week. Which is a bad thing because usually we hear from them everyday.

I did what he asked me. I quickly told someone to ready my horse so I could leave the Castle. I went into the kitchen and I made sure I had some food with me because it was a overnight trip. So I would be away from the Castle for about three days at the latest. I went to my horse and got on. I grabbed my bag of arrows just in case. I went to the the main gate and started heading towards the Knights house.

I went on the main trail. It has trees on both sides and it's towards the mountain. Which the Knights house was close to. The journey is long and sort of difficult. But I know I can handle it.
