I arrived at the castle around three in the afternoon because I went to the lake where I cooled my head off. But what was waiting there at the castle was not a good thing. When I arrived at the castle gate it was completely shut. This meant something was wrong. But what?
I unlocked the gate for myself. There was no guards around to let me in. So I rode my horse through the gate then locked it again. Once I was back on my horse I saw it. I saw the horses that were from the Fairytail Castle. Gray Fullbuster was here...
I quickly put my horse where it belonged and ran past the cobblestone walls into the entry of the castle. I opened the doors and it was dead silent. There was my Mother and Father discussing something with Gray and some of his people. They turned to me as soon as I walked in.
"Hey... what's going on?" I said that so dumbly I should of died right then and there.
"Oh, there she is," my Mother said.
"It doesn't matter. Your kingdom can't offer an agreement so we are going to war. This day was to help both of our kingdom's but you can't even offer a fair trade. My Father died when I was young. But at least I remember the little bit of respect he had for his kingdom. Your Kingdom, Jude, is nothing but miserable. And you can't even let your own daughter do something that she really wants without having her do something she doesn't want to do. She doesn't look like the type to like dresses," Gray said as he eyed me up and down. Then he walked away with some of his people following him.
He looked me up and down again and I felt uncomfortable. I just felt so violated, that it made me blush a bit. And I never blush.
"He's right you know," I said truthfully, but I shouldn't of even said it.
"Lucy How Dare You!!" My mother yelled.
Not this again.
"I'm so sorry that he said the truth! But you guys really don't have any respect for the people of this kingdom. So how could you respect yourselves knowing that stuff that happened to Levy is in your own kingdom!" I yelled. But the tears came out faster than I could control them.
So I ran. I quickly ran out the castle to my horse and left the castle. But I didn't think about the fact that Gray and his people just left. So the worse thing happened I ran into them. But not literally.
He saw the tears that were coming down my face. And for the first time I felt that maybe he knew my stress and pain because he is a half king. He just needs a wife.
"Might I ask this. But what is wrong Lucy?" Gray asked me.
"Some things are better unspoken," and with that I rode farther away.
I found myself at Gajeel and Laxus's grave. Hopefully they could help me through this war. They can at least give me some piece of mind. I haven't been to their graves since the day they died. So this should be good to feel like I'm talking to them again.
