The next day, Gray requested that we have some tea in the garden. I started to feel better last night so I agreed. He just wants to know me better he says. I think it's so funny. There's not much to know about me.

Gray requested a certain type of dress. And Maid Lisanna just brought it to me. It was a long red dress with buttons in the back with a lace design in the front where the stomach was. It was beautiful. And it looked great on me. I can tell that Gray has great taste.

I just read a book about the west side of the Roe kingdom until Lisanna or any of the knights escorted me to the garden. And finally, a knight did. He took me through the Roe castle. But the sight I saw when we were walking was amazing! The stone was beautiful and there was nothing but red carpet everywhere. The people of the Roe Kingdom were rich and you can tell.

I no longer care if anyone in the castle sees me. I over heard Maid Lisanna and Gray talking about my kingdom. They just said everything is fine. So I feel more relaxed. It's because of the information I over heard that I started to feel better.

The knight took me to one part of the garden then pointed and I saw Gray. He was patiently waiting for me. I started to walk towards him. But it felt like I was walking in slow motion. My heart was pounding so hard it hurt. I was nervous all over again.

Once I was in Gray's view, he walked over to me. He looked at me and bowed and I smiled.

"You look beautiful," Gray said.

"Thank you," I blushed.

He took my hand and took me to the table that was in the middle of the garden. He pulled out my chair before I could and told me to take a seat. And I did. Then he went to the other side and took his seat as well. I looked down at the table. It was decorated nicely. There was a flower pot in the middle. The tea cups were nicely displayed the actual correct way. It just looked lovely.

"Like it?" Gray asked me.

"I love it," I corrected him.

He just gave me that cute smile, then poured tea for the both of us.

"So Lucy... what's your story?" He asked me.

"What's yours?" I asked him.

"Answering with another question I see. Very well. I grew up here and my Dad taught me everything I needed to know. I got into sword fighting when I was six. My Dad died when I was ten. So I inherited the kingdom. But I'm not exactly the king. The court helps me make decisions. My Mom is always in her room now. She's getting older. I doubt she even knows you're here," Gray told me.

It wasn't really that much. It was rushed and it seems like the only loss he had to deal with was his fathers.

"What about you?" He asked again.

"I grew up hating the proper way to use a utensil to eat a certain food. I also hated wearing dresses. They were too long and uncomfortable. But one day I saw my friend practicing with his sword. I was mesmerized. I wanted to do that too. So he and another one of his friends taught me without my father knowing. And one thing led to another. My Dad has always been ill. He's going to die soon," I told him.

He said nothing. It was quiet like that for awhile.

"Have you ever lost someone?" Gray asked.

I went still. How could anyone straight up ask someone that. Everyone has their own pain. But it was rude of him. It was like he wanted me to relive that day all over again.

"Everyone has," I said.

"So is that a yes or a no?" He asked.

I looked up to him. He was smiling. Was that supposed to be reassuring. I feel like he knows.

"No not like that. But I'm not allowed around a certain someone anymore," I lied about the first part.

It went quiet again. Until he spoke.

"You just said that everyone has lost someone. I think you're lying," Gray claimed.

But he was right.
