Chapter Sixteen: Inside The Roe Kingdom

I woke up in a bed, in a place that was unfamiliar. I checked for my sword and it was gone. I had no protection. Damn! Who took me? I can't believe someone kidnapped me. This is so ridiculous. I walked over to a coffee table and sat down.

"How is she doing?" I heard someone ask.

The voice was coming from outside the door.

"I don't know Sir," someone replied.

"Well I'm going in to make sure she is," someone said.

I quickly ran back to the bed and covered myself in a blanket and looked towards the wall. Now I just need my stupid heart to calm down. Breath slower I told myself but it didn't work. I heard the door click open and someone walked in.

I couldn't help but move.

"I know you're awake," he said.

And instantly I knew who it was. It was Gray Fullbuster!
I knew they would attacked the Roe Kingdom! I turned towards him still wrapped up in a blanket. Now I realized how nice this room was. The ceiling had a chandelier. The walls were made out of a fine stone that even my kingdom didn't have. The fire place was lit. It was the only source of light in this room. But it was pretty bright. I can't believe I didn't notice that I was inside the Roe Kingdom!

"Why did you kidnap me?" I asked through anger.

But I wasn't really angry just confused.

"Remember that bet we made? I said if I won I would take you and kill all your men. Who said I still didn't want you to myself?" He asked as he putted his hand on my cheek.

At that moment I felt electricity go through my whole body. And my heart started pounding really hard and fast. I can't really describe it. He looked at me like... ugh! It's seriously pissing me off! I slapped his hand away from my cheek.

"You first kidnap me and then touch me! You have no right!" I shouted.

"Actually I do! I am the one who kidnapped you. But I wasn't the one who drugged you. Elfman, one of my knights did. But you're in my kingdom princess. And I have every right to," he explained.

He putted his hand back on my cheek. And again I felt the electricity go through my entire body. Is it possible that my heart is pounding even faster?

"What do you want from me?" I mumbled.

I was looking down now. But he took his hand off my cheek and raised my chin so we could make eye contact.

"I want to marry you so our kingdoms can have an alliance. I want to get to know you better," he said.

My cheeks started to burn up. I'm not used to this kind of stuff. It feels so weird. I swatted his hand off my chin and rolled over in the bed.

"I'm going back to sleep," I yelled.

"Why don't you sleep in a better room?" He asked.

He has better rooms? But this is nicer than all of the rooms in my kingdom. I mean this kingdom is newer than mine.

"No I don't think I can get up. I'm too exhausted," I lied.

All of a sudden I feel arms wrapped around my body and I feel myself get picked up.

"I was lying. I just don't want anyone to see me," I told him.

"I know," he said.

"Then let me down. I can walk myself!" I yelled.

I started hitting him.

"I thought you didn't want anyone to see you? If you keep making that much noise someone will notice and see you," Gray truthfully told me.

I stopped hitting him and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He was holding me bridal style. I rested my head on his chest. I know it sounds crazy but I felt safe. I mean this was the same guy who told my Dad what I truly felt. And he didn't care what the consequence was. I could never do what he does. And it brought tears to my eyes.

I started to sniffle and Gray noticed.

"What's wrong?" He asked me.

"Nothing really. Just thank you," I cried.

I didn't need to look at him to know his reaction. I knew he was smiling.

"You don't need to thank me," Gray mumbled.

But I could still hear him.
