I busted through the doors of the infirmary. I checked behind every curtain until I saw him. My Dad was laying on the bed and he looked lifeless. His eyes were barely open. And he had no hope in his eyes.

"Dad?" I walked over to the side of his bed.

He started to sit up slowly.

"Lucy... what are you doing here?" He coughed out.

"I'm here to see you," I said.

"I thought you were still in the Roe Kingdom," he told me.

"I just got back," I said.

I really shouldn't of ran here. My leg is really starting to hurt.

"What did he do to you?" My father asked me.

"Nothing," I said.

"That's good," he said.

"Dad I was thinking about the alliance. I think I should marry him," I told my father without hesitating.

"I think you should too. But your mother has done nothing but argue about it to me because she doesn't trust the Roe Kingdom's people. Only because she lost someone because of them just like you," my father whispered as he coughed.

"So you'll allow it?" I asked surprised.

"Yes. But you need to announce it to the kingdom," my father said.

"How am I supposed to do that without you?" I asked close to tears.

"You can do it because your name gives you power. I've told you this before. But it also gives you strength. You can do it because I believe in you," my father coughed out.

I hugged him.

"When am I supposed to announce it?" I asked.

"The court room closes in about twenty minutes. I think that should be enough time if you go now," my father said as he looked at the clock.

I ran out the infirmary to be welcomed by my mother.

"Lucy-"

"Sorry Mom," I said before she could say anything else. I knew what pain this could bring her. But forgive and forget right? At least I hope she would. But as I started to run it felt like if I didn't announce anything, nothing would get better.

I ran across the hall. Once I was down the hall I turned right and saw the staircase. I ran down the stairs. But my foot tripped and I fell down the rest of the way. The pain in my leg was worse. But I ignored it and I kept running towards the court room. Once I was there I saw the people of the court packing up their stuff until they saw me.

"I, Lucy Heartfilia will like to announce that I will accept the Roe Kingdom's idea of the alliance. Gray Fullbuster and I will get married. So our kingdoms can be at peace but also because I've developed feelings for him," I announced to the court as I stepped on the wooden step.

"Very well," said one of the court ladies. "When should we announce it? Tomorrow-"

"Tonight!" I said.

"Yes of course, princess," the court lady bowed.

"Thank you," I said.

They continued to bow as I left the court room.

I made my way back to the infirmary because I decided to go back to the Roe Kingdom. And I needed to tell my father that. I still needed to know the boy I fell in love with. Once I was in the infirmary I noticed a lot of maids by what was my fathers bed. No! Don't tell me he...

I ran to Mira and asked,"where's my father? Is he alright?"

Mira had a sour face. She couldn't speak. Then one of the maids touched her shoulder and spoke for her.

"We realized he had a tumor in his brain too late. We tried to do the surgery. But he refused. So we let him stay in the infirmary. But he didn't make it through today. He suddenly passed out while Mira was taking his temperature. But that's when his heart stopped beating..."

I didn't bother to hear anything else. Everything was slow. I truly felt at a loss. I ran to my room. I grabbed a bag and stacked clothes in it. I'm leaving the kingdom to clear my head. I need to go to the village to fight something. I Just need to do something to keep my mind off him.

Once I was finished I ran past my parents room and I heard the sobs of my mother. But I ignored them. I'm not going to cry. I ran down the stairs and went to the weapon room and grabbed a sword. After I picked it up I ran out towards the front door to the stable and got my horse. I got on it and I rode down the dirt paths towards the village.

I didn't focus everything was slow. I was finally at the village. I don't want Levy to see me like this so I decided not to visit her. I walked through aisles behind the horses just looking for trouble. And finally I found what I was looking for.

There was a guy running with a bag full of money I crashed after him after I heard shouts yelling,"Get Him!!" I ran up to him and pushed him to the ground. I got the money back. And gave it to its original owner. I took the guy to the jail of this village. I got my thank you's and looked for more trouble. Everything was a blur though. I still couldn't focus.

I heard more shouts and followed it to see a girl getting beat up. I ran full charge remembering the blue hair. I kicked each guy in the face. I ran towards them with my sword. They all had swords. There was about six of them. I suddenly heard more shouts behind me. But the sound was familiar. I looked up from my sword and saw Gray.
