I woke up to the sound of something collapsing outside my room. I looked at the time to see that it was five in the morning.

"Your Highness are you alright?" I heard Daryl ask in the distance.

I quickly got out of my bed and ran out of my room to see my Dad on the ground trying to get up. But by the time he was able to successfully hold onto Daryl without falling, he threw up blood.

"I'll take that as a no," Daryl said.

He picked up my Dad and carried him to the infirmary room. There Maid Erza was taking care of him.

I sat on the chair next to his bed holding his hand. Just waiting for him to wake up. This is new. I knew he was ill. But I didn't think he was this sick. A few hours passed. The clock struck ten in the morning. At one I have to take a test just like every knight on the front lines. That's how they come up with positions. But even if you were the best knight with the best skills you wouldn't be in the higher ups as a general just because of your skill. You need to have a bond with your knights as well. That's why everyone thinks that Natsu is the best for the job. It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't trying to embarrass me. He's still pissed that I flatly rejected him and can easily beat him in a duel. At one I have to duel every single knight that's in the Castle today for my test. That should be fun.

But how could I?

Here I am sitting in the infirmary waiting for my Dad to wake up from the event that happened earlier. He still hasn't woke up. And Mom isn't here because she's too busy in the meeting room with the knights discussing the war that's going on currently. Hours have passed and he hasn't woke up. A few times I thought he was dead but Maid Erza came in and told me that he's just slowly breathing.

I suddenly heard a groan from my Dad. It was currently one in the afternoon. I decided not to go to test that was today at one until my Dad woke up. But finally he did. I engulfed him into a hug. I could feel him smile. Then he suddenly shifted. He grabbed my shoulders tightly and looked me in the eye.

"Lucy your test! Go take it!" He yelled with slight panic in his voice.

"I'm already late," I said looking down.

"Yeah, so what? You're allowed to be late to your test. As long as you show up that's all that matters," my Father said with a smile.

"It's okay. I think I'll just stay here and watch over you," I said slowly.

"Lucy! I've been watching you through my window for the last six months secretly! You have passion. I'm sorry I've been so hard on you. It's just I don't have much time left and with the war and everything... Just please go to your test," he finished.

He watched me secretly?

I looked at him. He looked so sick and confident in me. It sort of scared me. Guess I have no choice.

"Alright," I said with a smile.

I pulled him into a hug. I broke the hug to see him holding my sword. The one that those knights gave me those years ago. Now I knew it was time to kick some Ass!

I quickly got up and went to the knights training area by the garden. That was where my test was supposed to be held at. Once I got there I saw everyone standing there waiting. There in the middle was Natsu holding a smirk as soon as he saw me. I just rolled his eyes. Everyone's eyes averted on me.

"Let's go Lucy Heart. Your late," Natsu said with a weird grin.

"At least I showed up," I replied.

"Alright First up Aidan and Blake against Lucy," Natsu said.

"General not to be rude but it's two against one isn't that unfair? There's no way she could-"
