Chapter Eleven: The First House

I got my horse ready an hour before we were supposed to leave. I still kept my word and wore a dress instead of a soldiers armor. But I did feel a little bit unsafe because of it. This was my first time going into war. And yes I've killed someone. But that was to protect Levy. This is different. I'm killing someone just for the sake of the kingdom. But I'm also protecting the people of this kingdom. So I guess it's okay. But I could still feel better about all this.

I got onto my horse and started to go to the gate where we were supposed to meet. Once I was there, Natsu was the only one there and he looked ready. He heard my horses footsteps and looked at me.

"Hey Lucy... sorry about yesterday," Natsu apologized.

"It doesn't matter," I faked smiled.

"Yes it does," he claimed.

"It's in the past. Let it slide," I said.

"Come on Lucy..." he moved his horse and tried to touch me.

But I smacked his hand away.

"Leave me alone," I yelled.

It went silent but he nodded. I just didn't like the fact that he talked so badly of Gajeel and Laxus. They were my friends and now they're  gone.

Everyone finally arrived and we headed out South of the Roe kingdom. It's about an eight hour trip. But it all depends how fast you're going. And I was ahead by everyone because I didn't want to face Natsu.

6 hours and forty-five minutes later, I finally arrived at the destination. It was one of the soldier houses. And they have six. Soon, about an hour later Natsu and the rest of them showed up. But I didn't wait for command I went straight in their house and charged them. But Natsu and the rest of them weren't that far behind.

There wasn't a lot of soldiers. But it was a handful because of how skilled they were. But that didn't stop me. One was approaching me from behind and in front and before they could both hit me I did a backflip into the air and they kill themselves. I ran up to the people who were shouting,"Backup!!".

I killed them with my sword while they were distracted. I heard rapid movement in a strange room. I ran straight in and what I found was strange.

It was Gray.

He was holding two wooden swords. He flew me a sword. And I caught it.

In the distant I heard my soldiers scream,"Victory!".

"Lucy lets make a deal?" Gray requested.

"I don't trust you," I stated

"Just heat me out or I'll kill the rest of your friends," Gray demanded.

"Fine," I pouted.

"If you can make me drop my sword I'll retreat and you can take the first soldier house. But if I can make you drop your sword then I'll kill everyone here and take you as my prisoner... fair enough?" Gray asked me.

"Fair enough," I said.

Laxus and Gajeel please give me strength.

He counted down from five on his hand. And when his hand was at zero I dashed towards him and used the same skill that Laxus and Gajeel taught me all those years ago. I quickly putted my wooden sword on its sharp end and cut him on his neck. Then when he wasn't looking I quickly moved the wooden sword to his arm and as hard as I could, I hit him in his arm.

He dropped his sword.
