AN: I don't own Doctor Who, or any of the characters. I don't own you either. I hope you enjoy this first chapter! This is set during "The Eleventh Hour", after 11 leaves young Amelia Pond in her garden to stop the TARDIS from blowing up. Y/N= Your name, L/N= Last name.
Your POV
"Y/N!" Your mother called up the stairs, causing you to become suddenly wide-awake. You sat up, suddenly aware of how cold the room was.
"Yeah?" You shouted back, not wanting to leave your nice warm bed.
"You have school! Hurry up or you'll be late!" She called, as you checked your alarm clock on your bedside table. It was currently 8:15am, and your school day began at 8:30am. Sighing, you quickly got out of bed and got dressed in your school uniform. After grabbing your bag off the floor and stuff in your books, you ran downstairs. "Mum? I'm going now!" You shouted, pulling open the front door.
"Alright, bye! Have a nice day at school, Y/N!" She said, as you left the house and stepped out into the cold January air. You walked down the street, and stopped at the end upon hearing a strange noise. You couldn't quite describe it; it was like no other word you'd heard before. You stepped backwards, and tripped in the gutter of the street. Instead of falling straight to the ground, you were caught from behind. You turned around to see a relatively young man with floppy dark brown hair. He was wearing a tattered shirt, and seemed quite distressed. "Hello. Are you alright?" You asked, as the man studied you curiously.
"Yes. What's your name?" He questioned, causing you to become slightly cautious of this man.
"Y/N." You replied. "Y/N L/N. What's your name?"
"Beautiful name. I'm The Doctor. Can you tell me, Y/N, what year it is?" The Doctor asked.
"2011." You said. "Why?"
"No reason." He said, as you noticed his hands were shaking.
"Are you sure you're OK? You're shaking!" You exclaimed, rummaging through your bag for your coat. You didn't like it anyway. Your mother had bought it for you years ago, and it didn't really fit anymore. "Take it. You must be cold." The Doctor shook his head, and you insisted,
"Please. I don't like it anyway, and you look like you need it more than I do." Upon realising that you wouldn't back down, he took it and pulled it on. It didn't fit him exactly, but it made him look a bit less strange. "Thank you. Y/N, is there anything weird going on around here? Can you not sense the strangeness in the air?" He asked. You shook your head, and checked your watch. You were now late for school. Great. You sighed. "Listen, I've got to go. I'm late for my classes." The Doctor looked slightly disappointed.
"Oh, alright then." He said. "I'll see you around, Y/N." You nodded, and quickly ran off. In your mind you ran through some excuses that you could possibly give to your teacher about why you were late. Upon arriving at school, you found the front playground entirely abandoned. That seemed slightly suspicious to you, there was usually at least one teacher around to yell at all the latecomers.  You entered the main building, and into your classroom. There was no-one there either. You checked the door, there was no note telling you to go to another classroom, so where was everyone? Your own question was answered when you heard a mechanical call of a single word. "Exterminate!" This word echoed down the corridor, and you hid underneath a table. You did not want to mess with whatever was in the corridor. You nearly jumped out of your skin when you felt a cold hand grab your ankle. Holding back your screams, you got to your feet. It had been The Doctor who had grabbed your ankle. He gave a gesture for you to be silent, as he looked through the window into the corridor. You did the same, and were slightly afraid of what you saw. A large beige metal machine was moving down the corridor. Protruding from the machine was a small laser, an eyestalk and what appeared to be some sort of plunger. The bottom half of the machine was covered in several bronze spheres. You stayed completely still, waiting to see what the Doctor was going to do. He took a single step forward, and pulled open the classroom door. "Hello, Dalek." He said darkly, staring at the strange machine. The machine spun around, and its eyestalk pointed directly at him.
"Doctor." The machine replied mechanically.
"What have you done with my classmates?" You asked, standing by the Doctor's side. The Dalek turned to look at you, as you struggled to hold your nerve. After taking a deep breath, you repeated your question slowly. "I do not need to answer to you."  The Dalek stated, adjusting its laser so it was pointed at your chest. "No." The Doctor said, pulling you behind him. "What are you doing here? This is a school."  He asked.
The Dalek remained silent. "Come with me, Doctor, if you wish to see what is going on." It eventually said. The Doctor looked back at you.
"Stay here. Do not get involved." He commanded.
"I'm already involved, Doctor. And I don't think that thing is just going to let me go." You replied, causing him to sigh.
"You're not going to listen to me, are you?" He questioned, and you shook your head. "Fine. Show us what you're here for." The Dalek turned around, and began to lead the pair of you down the corridor. You really wished that you'd stayed in bed today. Maybe then you wouldn't be in this position, with your life possibly in danger.
AN: And I'm going to end it there! Thank you for reading; please let me know what you thought of this story! I hope you liked it!
