My Hero

I woke up like 20 minutes ago. I was on my phone and saw that I should be getting ready to be late to Oliver's thingy. I don't know how today is gonna work. I don't even know what he is gonna say. I hope he keeps his word. If he touches me I just grow weak. His touch makes me feel safe. But then I over think I need to stop overthinking. Gosh I need to stop thinking. Why am I like this.

I got ready and left. I got to Queen Consolidated at 9:40. I am gonna wait a little bit longer. I don't want to be on time. I want to make Oliver wait. I open the door and see felicity getting out of her car.

I approach her slowly so I don't scare her.

"Hey Felicity" I say in a friendly way.

"Hey, not to be rude but why are you here?"

"I got a call from Oliver. So I guess the good word helped." I end with a giggle.

"Yeh I guess it did. Walk with me."

We talk about the boring adult things like weather and traffic. We get in the building Felicity and I part ways. She goes to her desk on a different level and I go to Oliver's office. As I a am walking in I see Oliver standing next to the window.

"Hey" I say to get his attention.

He turns his head then his body. He looked a little surprised.

"Hey, I am shocked but glad you came." He said with his rich boy charm.

"I thought I should give you a chance. Considering I didn't really give you time to talk. But you said I don't have to talk. But I can't shut up right now because I don't know if I am ready to hear what you have to say. I am scared Oliver. I can't help but talk. I am going to shut up and let u talk."

"Look Lexi there is no reason for you to be scared. I thought you wanted more from this relationship. Can I even call what we have a relationship? Lexi I want to get to know you. I love hanging out with you. I loved that night. I don't regret anything. Do you? I want to have nights like that and days like we did. Besides the fighting part. Lexi I just want to know one thing. Do you want to go on a date tonight with me?" Oliver said with a firm voice and was watching me, waiting for me to respond.

"Oliver.......I.. I would love to. I have some big expectations. So hope you can do it." I get up to leave but I feel a hand grab my waist.

"Oliver you said no touching."

Oliver doesn't say anything he looks at me and leans in. I pull back.

"Not bad queenie. Nice try but that will have to wait for later. Maybe you're even will get more." I smile and start to walk away. Oliver runs up to me and kisses my cheek.

"I never told you what time. How about 6:30? I will pick you up. Text me your address later." He ends the conversation with a peck on my forehead.

"Bye Queenie"

I get out of Oliver's office and felicity runs up to as fast as she can in heels.

"You lied last night. You know Oliver and I guess pretty well to because he chased after you and kissed you. Why did you lie?"

"I thought I was gonna be done with Oliver. We had a one night thing and I told him stuff and I don't know my exact feelings for him. Look Fel i'm sorry. I didn't mean to lie to you. I just didn't what the right thing to say. Oh yeah I know him we had a one night stand and now I think he wants more. Is that what I should of said Felicity?" I said getting a little Angry Felicity looked terrified.

"Sorry it's just that Oliver wants to try to see if we have anything. I don't think we have anything. But tonight I am going out with him and I got my period this morning. So you know that's just great Felicity."

"Lexi I don't know what you and Oliver have. But I know that you are taking him for granted. He is a good guy. Sometimes a player but you don't know him like I do." She says like a mom who found a child being bad.

"And how well do you know him. Felicity have you not gotten the hint. You like him but he doesn't like you." I finish and I start to walk away and I see that Oliver has heard everything I said. I do what I do best apparently. I ran to the evaluator. I finally got 5 seconds to myself. I don't know how tonight's gonna go. But I need CHOCOLATE.

I drive around looking for some ice cream or frozen yogurt place. I got tired of looking so I decided that I am just gonna go to the store. I went in grabbed a couple frozen pizzas and ice cream. I get inline and the cashier starts to scan things.

"That's gonna be $23.41." he says with a sweet smile.

"Here you go." I say as I hand him my money. I think to myself he's kinda cute. Seems sweet. No ring but that doesn't mean he has a girlfriend.

He gives me my receipt and I take a quick glance at the receipt. I see that he put his number on the bottom of the receipt. I glance up at him and give him a quick smile, he smiles back. I grab my bags and leave the store.

I get into the car and start driving home. I plug in my phone in and turned on my Jon Bellion Spotify playlist. I start to sing along and then i get pulled over.

"What did I do?" I ask a little shocked.

"Can you get out of the car miss."

"May I ask why?"

"Are you drunk driving? If you can get someone to come and get you out of this I would be glad to let you slide.

"Thankyou."

I decided to give Oliver a call

"Hey Oliver I need your help. I got pulled over for "drunk driving" and he said I get a chance to get out of it so if you could help please." Waiting for Oliver to respond.

"Where are you?"

Fifteen min later I see Oliver climb out of a car.

"What's wrong officer?" Oliver asked.

"You girlfriend here had drank a little much." Detective lance says.

"Thank you I would be glad to pay the ticket and take here home."

Officer lance left and now it's just me and oliver. I don't know what he is going to say. I haven't even drank. Wait I guess I did. After I got of Queen Consolidated. But that wasn't that much.

"Lexi we need to talk about this morning and us." Oliver says and sits down next to me on the the ground.

"Lexi why are you drinking at 2 in the afternoon? Oliver looks at me. I lift my head up from my knees.

"Oliver all I had was a small drink. It's not that big of deal and after this morning I needed it. Oliver you're so clueless. I will see you later Oliver. I can drive I am fine. Oliver can you help me up. I'm stuck." he reaches his hands down and out. I get up and Oliver starts to talk but I stop and lean in. He wraps his hands around my waist and I put my hands on Oliver's face. I pull back.

"I guess you will have to wait till later to do that again." I walk away but I turn my head and send oliver a quick wink and send a air kiss.
