Hash Browns

I wake up to find something beeping. I get up out of bed, grab a blanket, wrap it around myself, and go to the kitchen. I find Felicity with a pan of burning eggs.
"What you doing here?" I ask.
"I wanted to do something for you and breakfast sounded like a good idea. Then I remembered I can't cook. Sorry." She says.
"It's fine. I don't really like eggs anyway. Want to go get brunch? On me?" I ask her.
"Yes, that sounds like a great idea." She says putting down the soapy bubbling pan and dries her hands.
"Let's go." She says grabbing her purse and keys.
"Okay." I say taking off my blanket and sliding on my black low top converse. I think this is a good outfit to wear. I have on a heathered black and white hooded long sleeve shirt with black shorts. I grab my purse and walk out behind Felicity.
We get into her car. I get seatbelted and then I hear Felicity start to talk.
"This morning I didn't come to your place to make you food. I came because my mom surprised me. I couldn't stay there so I went to your place." She says.
"Ahh makes more sense. You're not a very good at lying." I say with a smile.
"Yeah I have heard. So where are we going?" she asks.
"Granite City. The have the best brunch. Ever had it?" I ask her.
"I think I might have gone a couple times in college." She replies.
"How come you don't talk about anything before you worked at Queens Consolidated?" I ask her.
"Dark times." She says looking at me then back at the road.
"Okay now you have to tell me." I say.
"I was a hacker. I made this super virus. My boyfriend went to far and got taken to jail. There he died." Felicity says getting quiet at the end.
"Woah woah girl hold up. You had a boyfriend that was a hacker and then it went too far and then he went to jail and now he's dead. Wow, who knew? I definitely didn't." I say, Felicity looks at me.
"Yeah and that is when I changed. I redid my hair, got a new wardrobe, moved, and got a job. That is who I am today."
"Go get them girl!" I say. We stop talking and start singing to a song. About 24 minutes later we get to Granite City. We get in and get seated. We order drinks and head up to the buffet. I grab a plate and start filling it up. I then find my way back to my table and start to eat. A few seconds later Felicity sits down across from me. I wait to she her first reaction. She takes a bite, chews, and then looks up at me.
"Good?" I ask her.
"Best cheesy hash browns ever!" She says.
"Yeah they are pretty good." I say taking a bite.
"When am I meeting you mom?" I ask her after a few minutes of eating, she takes a sip, and then replies.
"Never." She says, I laugh.
"Oh come on. I'm so meeting her later." I say with a wink. We continue to eat and talk. After a few minutes I feel the table start to vibrate, Felicity's phone, I see Oliver contact picture, and Felicity answers.
"Yeah." She says then Oliver replies
"I'm with her." Felicity says slowly as she looks up at me. I hear him talk but I can't make it what he is saying.
"Yeah, not now, Oliver I'm busy." Felicity says as I sit playing with the leftover food on my plate with my fork.
"Oliver I will be there in half an hour." Felicity as she hangs up.
"Team Arrow?" I ask her, she nods.
"I'm sorry Lex. I could drive you home and then go." She says.
"It's fine the city needs you. I will find a ride. Go, seriously the city needs you, Oliver needs you." I say slowing down a little bit at the end, she gets up, grabs her bag, gives me a side hug, and leaves. Like I said alone on my birthday. I pay the bill and walk out. I see some stores and walk over to them. I find a couple cool things and then I see one of my favorite stores, Hottopic. I go in and find a couple Supernatural things. I check out and continue to walk around outside. I after walking for 15 minutes I find the public library and walk in. I look around and find a few books, then I head to a comfy chair. I sit down, silence my phone, and start reading. Actually an okay birthday. Brunch, shopping, reading, and night to myself. Well one thing that could make it better, Oliver. But I don't think he knows or plans to do anything. I read and got really into. I started and finished four books in 6 hours. I look at my phone and see texts from Felicity and Dig. I also see missed calls from Oliver. I wonder if he is ready and has thought about it. I considered calling him back and then didn't. I went back to reading.
While at Arrow cave
"Why isn't she answering." Oliver says infront of Felicity and Diggle.
"I don't know. I mean she talked.." Felicity says then stops.
"Track her phone." Oliver says.
"I can't." Felicity says, Oliver looks at her.
"After she was taken you told me to make sure there was no way to track her. So I blocked her gps signal." Felicity says.
"Can't you back trace." Oliver asks.
"Oliver I can't do that I deleted everything. Nothing is there to get back and undo. Oliver think. Where could she be? You know her better than anyone." Felicity says.
"No I don't Felicity." Oliver says pissed off. It causes both Felicity and Diggle to perk up.
"Check the public library cameras." Diggle says looking at Felicity, Felicity starts clicking away.
"She's there." Felicity says. Oliver heads up stairs and leaves.
(Back to Lexi)
I read a few more books and then went out looking for food. I see a guy on a black bike. It reminded me of Oliver. I see a few different places and find the best one, Noodles and Company. I walk in and order then sit down.
I get my food and dig in. I grab my earbuds from my purse and pop them in. Few minutes later I see Oliver enter. I look at him and then away. Weird, I hope he doesn't notice me. Few minutes later I feel a tap on my shoulder, I pause my music, and look at him, he takes a seat next to me.
"Hey." Oliver says. I take a bite of food.
"Have enough time?" I ask in a mad tone.
"That what I wanted to talk about." Oliver says.
"Oliver I just want to eat and do my thing. Today already sucks, leave please." I say.
"Why does it already suck?" Oliver asks.
"You don't even know what today is do you? No of course you don't because we I had you, then I got taken, then I had you, then a coma, and then now you wanted to take a break. You never picked up on the little hints. I'm done here, don't follow me." I say grabbing my purse and walking away. Oliver was frozen.
(Oliver's pov)
Lexi stormed out. She said I don't know what today is and she was right, I don't. I go and look on her social media pages. It's her birthday and I am thinking about my self. She said she was hinting, the cats. She wanted a cat.
(Lexi's pov)
I walked out and saw his bike and helmet. It was him. I walked to it and waited for Oliver. I have been thinking about this and I don't want to do it but I have to. I see Oliver walk out and come to me.
"You're here." Oliver says.
"I wanted to talk." Oliver looked a little shocked.
"I don't want to be on a break. I want it, us to be done. Oliver have you noticed we can't be together for a week without something happening. I'm tired of losing you and getting you back. Don't worry I'm not gonna tell anyone about your secret, I don't have anyone to tell. You're to busy saving other people, you can't save yourself. Think about it. Good bye Oliver." I say wiping a tear off my face, Oliver grabs my arm, I turn to face him once again, and he starts to talk.

"Lexi I have lost you to many times. I can't lose you again." Oliver says.

"Oliver I..I am tired of losing you. I cant continue to lose you. Oliver I have lost everything. It wasn't my choice to lose my family. Or to be taken by Jared. I lost you in a coma." I say.

"Lexi we made it out. We can do it again." Oliver says.

"Oliver that's the thing. I don't want to go through it again." I say wiping away more tears away.

"I love you." Oliver says. That makes me look down then back up.

"I love you." I say going in to Oliver's chest, wrapping my arms around him, as Oliver wraps his arms around me.
