Chapter 5

It's been three days of non stop planning and plotting. Alpha Sutten, Aidens father, knows we're planning an attack so the element of surprise is gone.

I've grown to trust Aiden more these past few days so I've become less strict. Josh, Danny, and Sam all think guards need to keep watching them though so they don't have complete freedom.

I told my pack yesterday about the attack and they all were happy to fight. I, on the other hand told them no. I said only unmated wolves can fight while the rest with mates and family's have to stay in the pack bunker.

A few of our best fighters aren't gonna be in the fight because of my rule but I know what it's like to lose a parent or what losing a mate can do to you and I won't let anyone go through that.

My Beta, Josh, still has to fight though. No matter how manny times I told him no, he'd just argue so I caved.

I got a call around 7:00 in the morning from Henry saying that he was on his way with his fighters so I've just been waiting around, taking care of pack things first and now I'm training.

Training with Danny and Josh is what I do with most of my free time. I find it relaxing and funny because how easily I can beat them.

"Alexis, Alpha Henry and his son are here." Sam mind links me and I freeze in the middle of my fight. I didn't know Henry was bringing his son.

While im distracted Danny tackles me, bringing me from my thoughts. "Get off, fatty. The Silver Stone pack is here." I shove the blob of muscle that's on top of me to the floor and stand up.

"Shouldn't you change before we go?" Josh points to my training outfit which consists of my running shorts, sports bra, and running shoes.

"No time, they're already on their way to the pack house." I start running up to the back door of the pack house and head for the front. I would change but it takes 30 minutes to run to my house in human form.

As I run through the pack house, members bow with a quick 'Alpha' being released from their mouth. I say hi to as many people as I can before heading to the front door.

"Uncle Henry." I run out of the house and hug Henry when he climbs out of the car. "There's my princess." He hugs me back and since I'm only 5'2 and he's 6'3, his frame swallows mine.

"It's been forever since I saw you. You haven't really grown that much have you." I give him a playful glare, but let the remark about my height slide.

"Im sorry about my appearance. I was just training." He just waves it off when I see a similar black SUV to Henry's driving up. "Hey Henry, why did you bring your son?"

"You didn't know?" I shake my head, obviously confused. "Xander is the Alpha now. I stepped down two years ago." I hear the slam of a car door. Before I can turn to look, I'm engulfed in giant arms and can hear growling emitting from the thing holding me.

I try to pry off the hands around me and with the help of Sam, Danny, and Josh, Im released from the death grip around me.

"What the hell Xander?" I yell at him while he struggles against the three holding him back. Im actually surprised he hasn't gotten free yet considering he's the second strongest Alpha, behind me of course.

"Mate." Is the only thing that comes out of his mouth. Everyone freezes and looks from me to him. Xander takes that chance to get free and stalk towards me.

When he takes a step forward, I take a step back. This makes him frustrated so trys to grab me. I turned around, running away in the blink of an eye.

I hear him growl before he runs after me. I push my legs to move faster. I can hear him behind me so I mind link Sam to come help me.

Just as I thought he was gonna catch me, Sam comes barreling after us in wolf form and tackles Xander. Danny and Josh are right behind him.

I walk up to the four fighting wolves on the ground. "Enough." I shout in my Alpha voice. They all stop and look at me.

"Shift." They all do and a few minutes later a pack member comes running up with some pants for the four of them. "Josh, Danny, go help Alpha Henry and his pack settle in. Tell them to meet me at my house in 30 minutes." They bow real quick before running off.

"Sam, show Xander to the guest house and keep an eye on everyone while I change." Xander goes to speak but I stop him.

"Go with Sam, now." They both turn and leave, unable to disobey when I use my Queen command. It's like an Alpha command, but stronger. Even an Alpha as strong as Xander can't argue with it.

"You're dismissed." Is all I say as I walk into my home. The three guards inside leave, noticing my bad mood.

I change into a pair of shorts, a black tank top, and converse before heading back down stairs.

I still have some extra time before everyone gets here so I ask Josh to come help with Alpha paperwork while we wait.

After 20 minutes of sitting around signing papers, there's a knock on my front door. Josh keeps working while I answer.

As soon as the door opens I try to slam it shut, but a hand stops the door. "Hello my little mate."
