Alexis

Im running through the forest, the dirt underneath my feet still a little damp from the rain a few hours ago.

I can feel him behind me and I beg for my wolf to talk to me, to help me, but she won't speak. I can't even feel her.

I step on something sharp and fall to the ground, screaming in pain. In a matter of seconds he's on top of me with his hands around my throat.

"Im coming for you Alexis. You can't escape." I claw at his hands but it does nothing. Why can't I hurt him?

Black spots cloud my vision as I gasp for breath. I can feel the darkness coming for me. It's peaceful. I just want to be at peace.

Then he's gone. I can breath again. I feel warmth swarm into me and then I see him. Xander is holding me, telling me everything will be ok.

I feel safe and at home. After what seemed like forever in his arms, he starts to fade into the shadows. I try to stop him from leaving me alone in the cold but I cant. He disappears and then, I wake up.

My eyes open and I draw in a deep breath. I've had that dream over a hundred times and that's never happened. How did that happen?

Then I see him, Xander. He's by the door looking at me before slowly making his way to me. "Alexis, what's wrong?" I'm still breathing heavy and I'm covered in a thin layer of sweat.

The memory's of my dream and the past coming to the surface. He places his hand on my shoulder and I flinch back.

"I'm fine." I get out of bed and check the time. It's almost four in the morning. "Why are you here?" I ask growing suspicious.

"I came to talk to you but you were asleep so I brought you up here." I looked for any sign of him lying. I relaxed a little when I realized he was telling the truth. "Thanks."

I turned away from him and headed to my bathroom. He followed and stood in the doorway as I washed my face and brushed my teeth.

"Aren't you gonna go back to bed?" I dryd my face and headed to my closet. "No." I picked out a clean pair of running shorts, a sports bra, and my shoes.

"You should sleep. You're an Alpha and Luna Queen." I ignore him while I change in the bathroom. When I open the door he looks me up and down, his green eyes swirling with black.

"I've gotten plenty of sleep. Now leave my house." I walk away, heading down stairs. "Where are you going dressed like that?" He practically yells at me.

I turn on my heel to face him, causing him to almost walk into me. "Let's make one thing clear, you are not the boss of me. I can dress however I want and you don't get a say. Is that clear?"

I use my Alpha voice but it does nothing. He just smirks and then I'm pinned to the wall, my hands above my head and sparks coming from his touch.

I tense up out of fear. Instead of Xander standing in front of me, I see the man from my dreams.

"Looks like that tone doesn't work on me anymore. Now let me make one thing clear, I am your mate. That means you are mine and mine alone. No one but me is aloud to see this much skin. Go change."

He let's go of my arms and I let go of the breath I didn't know I was holding. "Don't touch me." It comes out weaker then I wanted. I couldn't help the slight crack in my voice as the memory's of him flood my brain.

Xander trys to make me look at him, but I'm too scared to look. "Get out." He grabs my chin gently and I move my head up to see him. His eye's are full of worry and I start to feel a little better knowing it was just my imagination. It was just Xander.

"Tell me what's wrong. Please, you're so scared. Just tell me what's wrong." I snap out of my scared, weak state and push his hand away from me. "Leave." I hate being that weak girl who is scared of everything. Im strong and I'll stay strong.

I walk away leaving him standing there. A few seconds later he stomps past me and out my front door. With a loud slam, I see Sam jolt off the couch in a fighting stance.

Once he doesn't see a threat he relaxes. "What happened?" He looks at me and I just laugh at his tired face. "Go upstairs and sleep. There's a guest bedroom across from mine." He nods slightly with a yawn and leaves.

When he's gone, I make my way outside and lock my front door. Im lucky Sam was too tired to notice I was about to leave or he would've made me go back to bed and that is the last thing I wanna do right now.

Xander

I shouldn't have stormed out. I shouldn't have gotten mad. She only asked me to leave because I scared her. Why though? She's never been afraid of anything.

I hear the front door of her house close and when I look up, I see her retreating figure. She walks off into the woods and I follow her.

Where's her guard? She's supposed to have a guard at all time's. She the Queen with many enemy's.

She keeps walking, not noticing I'm here. Weird, she should have smelt me by now. I shrug the thoughts away as she stops and bends down.

She clears some leaves off the forest floor and lifts a hidden door. She climbs down and shuts the latch behind her.

What is she up to? I quietly walk over and reach for the latch. Big mistake. I rip my hand away from the handle as I feel the burning sensation leave my hand. Silver. It's made of silver.
