Chapter 21

"Alexis, wake up." Alexis passed out. I was able to catch her before she hit the floor. "What's wrong with her?" Sam stayed here while Josh and Danny took Blake away.

"I don't know, she just fell. Go get the pack doctor." Sam ran out of the room and I decided to carry Alexis upstairs.

After I laid her in our bed, I grabbed a wet rag and placed it on her forehead since she was a little hot. It didn't take long for the doctor to get her since it is his Alpha and Queen.

"What happened?" He sets his bag on the floor, checks her pulse, and temperature. "She got in a fight with Blake and when we went to help her, she just collapsed."

"Did she take her medication today?" I stare at him confused. "Medication? What medication?" Since when does she need pills. She would have told me if she did, right?

"Her pills for her exhaustion, anxiety? Any of them?" I don't answer him so he just moves on to drawing some of her blood. "How long has she been on medication?" Maybe she only just got them and forgot to tell me. "About four years. She needs them to keep herself going. Being a Queen without a King puts too much stress on her body. She needs to be looking for her mate, not helping in a war."

He puts the two small tubes of blood in a small container and keeps talking. No one knows about me and Alexis being mate's, besides her Beta, Delta, and guard.

"How is she supposed to be with her mate if she has Blake's mark on her?" Even with me found, I can't take the responsibility of King unless we complete the mating ritual.

"Science my boy can help with that, especially if we can get a hold of a witch, a very powerful witch." He pulls out a couple bottles of pills and hands them to me.

"Make her take these when she wakes up. She isn't allowed out of bed for two days and she isn't aloud to work out, fight, or do ANYTHING physical unless she takes all of her medicine."

He's about to leave when I stop him. "Is she gonna be okay?" My wolf whines at the thought of something happening to Alexis. "She'll be fine when she takes her medication. Just watch her breathing till she wakes up."

I thank him and lead him out of the house before heading back to Alexis. I'm not leaving her side for anything.

It's been an hour since the doctor visited. I was tempted to call him back, but I know she will be okay. My wolf, Zayne, has been speaking with Anne, Alexis' wolf. They're trying to wake up Alexis.

I grab the rag from Alexis' forehead and run it under the faucet for the second time. When I'm about to sit down again, I hear knocking at the front door. I get a little angry and let out a small growl. I just wanna watch over my mate, cant I be left alone?

I make my way downstairs, ready to yell at whoever's at the door, but when I open it, it's just Alexis' father. "I heard what happened, is she okay?" He makes his way inside, looking around the living room and office for his daughter.

"She's upstairs, doctor said she didn't take her pills. Did you know she was on medication?" Maybe she just wanted to keep it quiet, not to worry anyone. "Yeah, I'm the one who sent her to the doctor."

He makes his way upstairs and I follow him. "She's still asleep, maybe come back later?" He just ignores me and walks into her room.

That makes Zayne a little angry, but I keep him at bay. "Alexis? You awake?" He turns on the light and sits in my chair. "What caused this?"

"Doctor said exhaustion. She overworked herself and to gain energy, her body shut down." I sit in the chair opposite of Alexis. Hopefully he leaves soon.

Soon ended up being him staying the night in the guest room. I hope Alexis wakes up soon.
