Chapter 078

Matapos nilang gawin ang pinunta sa mansyon nila Lorenzo ay nagsimula na silang maghanap sa mga lugar malapit sa kanila. However, as Cheska expected, hindi rin iyon magiging ganoon kadali katulad ng kaniyang ginawa sa Italy.

They looked for the places where Lorenzo could possibly is. They're just really looking for him blindly. They have already asked the people whom Lorenzo met since he came to the Philippines—anyone that could help her.

Nang makaramdam ng pagkagutom, siya na mismo ang nagyaya na kumain sila ni Stein sa labas. Kaya ngayon, parehas silang nasa restaurant. Inaantay na lang ang kanilang inorder.

"Don't you know anyone that could help us? Nakapunta ka naman na ng Pilipinas diba?"

"The president is all that I could think of. Surely he knows every place in his country. Even the secret places. You are the mistress so he has no reason to decline your offer."

It made her wince. "I have already bothered a lot of people for this. I am planning to seek his help once I have no card left. Besides, I don't want to involve him in this fight. He is the president, maraming ginagawa."

He fell silent, nagiisip habang si Cheska ay napabuntong hininga na lang. If only there is an easy way to find Lorenzo. Hindi rin naman niya pwedeng patigilin ang pagtatrabaho ng Lees para lang sa kaniya.

Surely the elders will step out of nowhere at sasabihing masyado niyang ginagamit ang kaniyang kapangyarihan para lamang sa isang lalaki.

"I know someone. He also knows several countries. I just hope he knows this country—or familiar."

"Talaga? Also an assassin?"

"He was. Old Luchnik."

"He left? Bakit umalis?"

"He got tired of being ordered around and kill afterward. I would do the same anyhow once I find the right person fit on my position."

"Anong ginagawa niya ngayon?"

"He's now a businessman. He has a lot of businesses around the world kaya marami rin siyang alam na bansa."

"So...can we expect him to help us?"

"I'll persuade him," he said firmly. "But...I have to admit na mahirap siyang mapa-oo especially this matter is about someone from the Mafia World."

"Bakit? He hates the Mafia World?"

"He just doesn't want to be bothered by our world's problems."

She would surely do the same kung pwede niya lang iyon gawin at may choice siyang gawin iyon. She wanted to be away from the issues of the Mafia World.

"I'll make a call later. Then I'll let you know his response."

It made Cheska smile and so Stein did a firm smile too. Sakto ay dumating na ang order kaya nawala ang tinginan nila sa isa't isa. Cheska's eyes shimmered in excitement. Sobrang gutom talaga siya kaya naeenganyo siyang kumain ngayon.

"Eto na ang bawi ko sa libre mo sa akin ha?" she asked before starting her lunch. Pinagmasdan lang siya ni Stein na kumain at bago pa mahuli ay nagsimula na lang din siya.

He didn't know eating like this with someone can be fun.

"Say," pinunasan ni Cheska ang kaniyang labi ng napkin saka uminom na muna ng tubig. "How's my mom as a teacher?"

"Strict," mabilis niyang sagot dahilan para ikatawa ni Cheska.

"Right! That woman is indeed strict. But I cannot say her lessons are not helpful and right."
