Chapter 119 - Part 1

Anastasia is leaning against a white hall habang nakatingala. Her mind is full of thoughts. Sobrang dami noon na hindi niya mawari kung paano pa iyon nagkakasya lahat sa kaniyang utak.

"Why do you have to take him with us?!"

She stepped back after seeing the guy Alzi is with. Nakatingin lang ito sa kaniya gamit ang kaniyang kalmadong mata. She gritted her teeth.

"After finding out what kind of a boyfriend you have and your plans, there is no way I would step aside, Anastasia—"

"How dare you act like a brother to me now?" hindi niya makapaniwalang sambit. "The day I asked you to stay away from that man was the moment I wanted a brother but you refused me!"

Sean sighed and closed his eyes. Why do girls love to shout? "He is my father. What his wife did isn't his mistake. He is already ashamed of it."

"If that is the case then he should have already confessed. Pero anong ginawa nilang lahat?"

"If he confesses what they did, will you finally forgive me?" tanong niya. "And finally accept why I still chose to be with him?"

Her fist balled and looked at Alzi. Nakatingin lang din ito sa kaniya. "You do not have to do this, babe. We can do this alone—"

"We can't," he cut off calmly. "We need someone from the inside. Who can update us."

"I am already an Asteri—"

"Lorenzo is gone," muli niyang pagpuputol. "The fact that the descendant of the Soarta is gone is alarming, Tasha. We need to work harder. We need your brother."

She bit her lips at napaiwas ng tingin. Alzi held both of her shoulders.

"Hey, you said you are with me in this fight of mine. Please. I cannot do this without you, babe..." he whispered. "I cannot put him in this if you do not accept it. But please...take some consideration..."

That is the day when she accepted her brother's white flag. Kahit labag sa kaniyang kalooban, for Alzi's sake she let go of her hatred towards him.

And that is when they started to work together.

"You do love that guy huh?" Sean smirked at her. "What have you seen in the descendant of demons? Sungay? Kaitiman ng budhi? Quite a taste if you ask me."

"Do not talk to me as if we are close," inis niya itong tinignan. "And how did you know he is one of the descendants? No man like you can find it out alone."

"Ang sakit mo naman magsalita, kapatid," coming from someone who just insulted his sister's boyfriend. "Sa totoo lang, hindi ko talaga nalaman. Your boyfriend came to me himself."

Her eyes became dull. "At naniwala ka kaagad? If someone says they are a family of demons, maniniwala ka kaagad? How disappointing from a guy coming from that family."

"Hah. That is the point, little sister," he sneered. Anastasia frowned even more. "I came from that family. If I have not seen their capabilities and the faces of the Founders, hindi ako maniniwala sa kaniya."

Hindi na siya umimik. She might hear another annoying call from him. He just keeps calling her sister, little sister, o kapatid.

She already told him to call her Anastasia or Ana.

"Besides, nothing surprises me in this world. I just know we are in a place where impossible things are possible."

Hindi siya umimik.
