Chapter 119 - Part 2

"Cheska will start a war against Lissa, the Soarta's daughter. She wants to return when her daughter is within her reach."

"But Cheska is their ally. It is impossible for her to wage war-given that she is also planning to take Lorenzo."

"I don't know..." he murmured. "I have to watch and see how things will go."

"Given the current situation, I believe the Lees will not wage a war," Sean said. "They are probably mourning and Cheska is on the other side."

"That is what the Black organization is after too. They are not after the war. Lissa is only after the two and she already has the other one. They will do everything in order for the Lees to stay still and not wage any war."

"Bakit ayaw nila? I thought they want chaos?"

"Priorities perhaps?'

"I wonder why is Lissa only after Stein? And not after Lorenzo? Which is the descendant of the Soarta."

"No one knows why...she is just desperate to have him. But it must have something to do with their initial plan. They have been wanting Cheska and Stein," he paused. "This other fate...I wonder what is inside of it aside from Cheska and Stein being each other's endgame...something that would get the interest of the fallen monarch..."

"Do you know why the Black organization was made? I do not believe it was made for no reason since it was created by a fallen monarch."

"Lissa doesn't say anything to me. My role there is not important. I am simply the Lee who helped them have what they want."

"Something on the other fate that got the fallen monarch's interest..." Sean murmured. "Who else has the capability to make the immortals fall?"

"Usually it is because of their own fault. Sometimes the highest god does the punishment."

"Who is this god?"

"The queen."

"Don't you think this is because of her twin? They are twins yet she made her fall. Grudge."

"Yea...I would do the same thing if you made me fall. I would return the favor ten folds."

"That can happen. When I tried to see what was inside of her, it only has one emotion. Grudge. A deep one. A profound one," he said. "But there are a lot of reasons why she has that. But I cannot say what you said is impossible. She is a monarch. That title must be really important for her."

"That's suspicious. Given that in stories, the monarch siblings have a good bond. They even killed their father. What a bond."

"All of them are the killer? Akala ko yung kambal na lalaki lang?"

Anastasia rolled her eyes. "Hindi ka talaga nakikinig."

"It wasn't said who the killer is. It was only assumed it is the twin gods because of their curses," Alzi interrupted, stopping the sibling fight.

The day before the promotion...

"Since the god of protection stepped in, Stein wasn't taken. Since Lissa is after Stein, she proposed to do the promotion."

"Promotion?" Sean asked with his furrowed brows. "Like from the chess game?"

Alzi nodded. "I have a feeling that the war will start tomorrow. Given that the two parties will be in one place together."

Nanatiling tahimik ang dalawa.

"If that happens..." he took a pause, not averting his gaze from Sean. "Sean, you will die tomorrow."
