Chapter 104

"You cannot do this to me, kuya! You cannot do this to me!"

Patuloy pa rin sa pagpupumiglas si Xeign kahit hawak siya ng kaniyang kuya nang sobrang higpit. She screamed. She begged. Ngunit hindi siya pinakinggan.

"Xeign, please," he looked at her with full of pain. "Don't make this hard on us—"

"I don't want to leave!" tuluyan na niyang ginamit ang buong lakas para makawala. She faced her brother with her threatening face. "I am staying! Hindi ko aalis! We're at war! I cannot leave you all here!"

Cj shut his eyes tightly and sighed. "You don't understand. You are not safe here—"

"Ako ang hindi mo naiintindihan! Bakit ba lagi mong dinidiktahan ang buhay ko?! Why am I not allowed to decide for myself?!" her voice went all over the place. "I am 18! I can make—"

"I am your brother!" his fist balled. Muli siyang napabuntong hininga. Ayaw niya talagang makipagtalo ngayon. He's been refraining himself to yell. "Utang na loob, Xeign. Please lang—"

"Hindi mo ko mapapalis dito kahit anong gawin mo. I will stay here. Whether you like it or not—!" napahawak siya sa leeg. She felt her legs weakening kaya sinalo siya ng kapatid. "How...how could you...?!"

The dullness of his eyes remained. "I'm sorry...this is the only way to protect you..."

A tear fell from her eyes. Humigpit ang kaniyang kapit sa braso. Her nails almost buried on his skin dahil sa galit.

Then her eyes slowly closed. She fell on her brother's chest. Cj caressed her hair softly and kissed the top of her head. "I'm really sorry..."

He carried her in a bridal style manner at nilingon ang lalaking kanina pa na nandoon. Simon looked down at the syringe he stabbed on Xeign's neck.

"Are you..." he looked up. "certain about this, Mr. Lee?"
