"Where are you going?"

Scarlet stopped before she could reach the main door of the mansion. Nang lingunin niya ang nagsalita, Brittany is going down the stairs wearing her confused face.

"Playing my part," she answered with a shrug.

Napangisi siya at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad papalapit sa kausap. "Lorenzo is not with us anymore. Kailangan mo pa bang gawin 'yan?"

"According to shadow, I have to stick with my false character. This job might be useful to us one day. I'm having fun too because you know..." she whispered, "I can kill without being punished..."

"Ezath is already with the Lees and the darkness still wants you to continue this huh? Quite assuring."

"Yea...I can say that this demon that you met is promising. Do you think it will happen?"

"Happen what?"

"Us? Conquering this world?"

"He seems confident but it doesn't mean I trust him. I'm just going to see this through. As long as he's not making me do something that might put me in eternal suffering, I have no reason not to stick to the plan." she raised her hand. "Good luck on your job. I'll look for the darkness. I wonder where he is again..."

Scarlet chuckled. "Bye!"

Kasalukuyang naghuhugas ngayon ng kamay si Baran habang nasa gilid ng sink ang kutsilyo na ginamit kanina. Her hands are full of blood. Ganoon na rin ang kutsilyo na ngayon ay nalinis na niya.

Then her phone suddenly rang. Kinuha na muna niya ang panyo at pinunasan ang dalawang kamay. She answered it at binalik ang tingin sa salamin. May iilang dugo roon kaya tinanggal na rin niya.

"Babe? Why did you call? Kakatapos ko lang sa trabaho ko."

[Oh. Nagaalala ako kanina dahil baka maistorbo kita.]

"No. Kakatapos ko lang. Your timing is perfect. I was just about to call you."

[Saan ka pinapunta ngayon?]

"I'm still in Europe. Hotel in Paris. Miss me?"

[Yea...I want to go back here. I'm bored.]

Napangiti siya. "I'll come back as soon as I can. I'll visit your place, alright? I'm excited to meet you all again!"

[Sure! I'll wait for you.]

Mas lalo siyang napangiti ng malawak nang madinig kung paano nagkaroon ng energy ang kaniyang boses dahil sa sinabi. He almost sounded like a kid na sinabihan ng nanay na bibisita sila sa mall para bilhin ang laruan na kaniyang gusto.

Ngunit nawala agad ang kaniyang ngiti nang tumama muli ang kaniyang tingin sa salamin. She suddenly saw someone standing right beside her.

"Oh my god!"

Nahulog ang kaniyang phone kasabay ng pagkuha niya sa kutsilyo na nasa gilid. She pointed it to that person.

[Tasha? Tasha? Tasha, what happened?]

Then she suddenly got calmed. From surprise, ngayon ay nagtataka na siya. "Vodovoz?"

Kinuha niya ang phone na nahulog sa sahig at dinedma ang kutsilyong nakatutok sa kaniya. She saw the name on the screen. It wasn't a person's name. It's the endearment that she calls him.

"What are you doing here?" kinuha agad niya ang phone mula sa kaniya. Then she ended it. "I locked the door. How did you get in?"
