"This is about Sean's shooter."

Her eyes went to her desk. Joshua put a folder on it. Hindi niya agad iyon kinuha "Will...I see who shot him?"

"I am not certain. However, she is the most person who has the motive of killing Sean."

She? Doon na niya tuluyang kinuha ang folder. Surely, she did not mishear it. Joshua did say that it is a woman.

Nang buksan ang folder, she found a woman's face with her profile information on the side. She has white hair and lively eyes. Her smile seems like she is not capable of doing such a horrendous thing.

"Are you certain about this?"

"She is much different from what she looks like," his eyes darted down to the folder on her hands. "That woman is an assassin. An Asteri."

She paused. "An...Asteri?"

Pinagmasdan niya lang ang mukha. Yes, she remembers one Asteri with that hair color. Now she remembers. She can remember her because of her performance during the first duel with all of them.

"That is his sister. Sean's sister."

Her eyes widened, shaken up. Muli siyang nagangat ng tingin. Joshua doesn't look like he is messing up with her. Sobrang seryoso ng kaniyang mukha. Tila kahit siya ay hindi kumbinsado sa nilalahad sa kaniya.

He's pointing Sean's sister as his assailant.

"His sister?" may gulat sa kaniyang tono. "And you are telling me he was killed by his remaining family? His sister?"

"I checked on her," he said. "She has a deep grudge towards Sean. She knows what the dead elders did to her family. She loathes him for staying with his foster father."

"That is still not enough motive to kill him?"

"She was there."

Her lips parted. There?

"At the war."

Cheska slammed her hands on the desk. Nalukot na ang folder na binigay ni Joshua sa kaniya. He remained still. He's actually expecting her to act like this. He cannot imagine how she had gone impatient for waiting this moment-to know who killed Sean.

"You saw no one, you said. Now you are telling me someone is there? And you are pointing it on Sean's sister?"

"It was her smell. I used my Ennoia."

"It has to be someone who has the same perfume as her, Joshua...!" nanlalaki ang kaniyang mata.

"Yes, but our circle is small. The assailant has to be someone who is good at shooting. She managed to shoot Sean on his head outside Rades's barrier. That is too far. Even with the sniper, it would be hard. It has to be someone as skilled as an Asteri," he explained. "I checked all their smell. Only his sister matched. If it is not her, I do not know anymore who it could be."

"Why..." muli siyang napaupo. "Why would he kill her brother...?"

"Only her can answer that question. The only motive I could think of is her hatred towards Sean," he paused. "But as you said, it is shallow. Perhaps there is much deeper but that can only be revealed by her."

Tahimik ang kwarto kung nasaan ang lima. Cheska still hasn't withdraw her gun. The rest, they are all surprised from what they heard.

Xeyna's eyes went to Anastasia. Why is Cheska accusing her as Sean's shooter?
