Sunod sunod ang suntok na pinaulanan kay Cheska habang siya naman ay paulit ulit na umiiwas. She's sweating really hard and breathing really hard.

"Breathe properly. Don't let it beat you."

She licked her lips and later on raised her hand. "Wait. Please. I have to drink water. May hangover pa ako. I am not in my perfect situation."

Umalis siya sa tapat ni Lev at tumungo sa gilid kung saan nakatiwangwang ang kaniyang bote ng tubig. He stood properly and let out a sigh, pinapanood lang ang kaniyang kilos.

"We should have postponed this by tomorrow. You still have a hangover."

"If I cannot deal a mere hangover, I will forever be weak," sambit niya pagkatapos makainom. She wiped her lips. "Let's just continue."

Kahit gusto pang umalma ay wala na siyang nagawa. Cheska is already prepared to start the next round.

"Train me!"

Lev was interrupted to take his leave when someone suddenly yelled behind him. He knows that voice perfectly.

Cheska is standing firmly, waiting for him to face her. Kuyom din ang kaniyang mga kamao. Dinedma niya ang kaniyang hiya para lang harapin si Stein at sabihin iyon sa kaniya.

Hinarap niya na ito at nanatiling tahimik. He's confused.

"Train me." paguulit niya at huminga ng malalim. Then she looked at him bravely. "I need you to train me. I need to be strong. I only trained with my mother for less than a year. And you...trained with her for how many years. I need to know everything she taught you."

His lips parted. "I believe you are already strong enough—"

"No," she strictly said. "I...am not strong enough to defeat you—"

"You defeated me—"

"Because I pushed myself beyond my limits," pagtatapos niya. "I want to defeat you without having to do such a thing. I want to fight with all of my strength without pushing myself too hard."

He fell silent.

"I cannot keep doing this. This organization...they might be stronger than me. If I continue to do such a risky thing...I'll be the first one to fall. Then my organization. Then my Lees."

Muli siyang hindi nakaimik. At some point, he agrees to her second sentence. He agrees because of what he heard from Xeyna before.

And that's how he ended up training the mistress. This will go on until the training is done. Meaning, he is going to train her during their free time.

"If you want to be faster, do not move from your place that much. You will be able to save energy with that," sambit niya habang patuloy na sinasalag ang suntok na binabato sa kaniya. "If you want to add something, remove something too. With that, the balance will remain."

Cheska did a nod habang hindi tumitigil sa ginagawa. She's been doing her breathing in the same way as what Lev taught her in the beginning. Nararamdaman nga niyang mas maayos ang kaniyang pakiramdam gayong halos isang oras na silang nandoon.

"You won't be able to trick your illness but at least, you can do something to stop it from being triggered."

The training ended later on. Nabigla pa nga si Cheska dahil hindi niya inaasahan na ang bilis ng oras. Gusto pa sana niyang magpadagdag ng isag oras but surely Lev has something more to do. He's an Asteri after all.
