•Can U Keep A Secret?•
"Guys, you know what this means, right?" asked Jade.
"Kinda." Crystal muttered.
"Sorta." I replied.
"Hello! We're mermaids!" shrieked Jade.
"And?" I motioned her on.
"IF WE TELL A SOUL, WERE SUSHI IN A OVERPRICED RESTAURANT THAT SELLS EXOTIC SEA FOOD!!!!!!!" She screamed, trying to get our minds to cooperate.
"Ok, ok, I see your point. We need to be careful." I said finally, "But you need to chill, alright? What's happened to us is amazing, and we don't know the first thing about it."
"And the only way to find out is..." started Crystal.
"To get back in the water." We all said in union.
•••at the moon pool•••
"There's one fatal flaw," I said, staring at the glowing water, then turning to the flowing river, "We're no where near the ocean."
"Well..." said Jade, trailing off.
"We're freshwater mermaids!!" Crystal stated, amused at the idea.
"Yeah...sure...come on guys, we need to get into the water!" I said.
"1...2...3..." we all chanted, then dove into the water, head first.
1...2...3...4....5...6...7...8...9...
FWOOSH!
All three of our orange tails appeared, then we smiled underwater, and started slow swimming.
From the moon pool, we swam to our right, heading towards the river.
Even slow swimming, we still glided smoothly through the water.
We all smiled, as we swam further and further, doing twists, turns, flips, and spinning.
We even swam alongside some river dolphins, which I didn't even know existed, until now.
We surfaced, after swimming for about fifteen or more minutes.
"Woah! I knew nothing about the water!!" I said, super excited.
"I know right! I didn't even know there was such a thing as freshwater dolphins!" Exclaimed Crystal.
"Well, there are freshwater mermaids..." Replied Jade, smiling.
We all smiled too, then, practically reading each others minds, we all took a dive back into the water.
But once we dove back in, we saw something strange swimming in the distance.
'Eeee! another dolphin!' Crystal mouthed to me and Jade.
We moved our hands, stopping ourselves to get a better look.
I nudged Jade, Crystal, and me behind a fairly big rock, then we all moved our heads up a little, enough to see the thing in the distance.
Orange scales and a tail, swimming, gliding, like us.
That's no dolphin!
That's......
