'Won't spread what around?', a male voice behind me asked.

I turned round to see two of the boys I'd seen earlier sniggering in my direction.

'Piss off Peter', Gemma scolded

'Oh, language. I bet your dad won't be very pleased with your vulgarity'

Gemma stood aggressively and as if the boys had expected her to, they both pulled out two high powered water bazookas and started spraying her. Their firing wasn't the best and I along with two other girls got wet.

Gemma charged at them angrily, they retreated running in the opposite direction, both at different angles. Gemma continued to chase the one she had called Peter, catching him with every step.

'Gemma', a voice yelled across the garden. Gemma froze and turned slowly towards the direction of the authoritative voice. 'What on earth are you doing?'

Gemma turned sheepishly towards the position she had last seen Peter, he was no longer there, she turned back to the man. 'Sorry dad'.

She returned to us slowly, her face lowered, but you see the simmering anger under her skin.

'That was Peter and Richard, the most annoying cousins you'd ever want to meet'

'Can't be as bad as Andrew', I said trying to cheer her up, even though I believed it to be true.

'No, I think they're worse', Gemma was adamant

'At least you don't have to live with them all day, every day', my competitive spirit was rising in me, I couldn't help myself, even though I knew I was no longer trying to cheer her up. I knew I had to get a hold of myself and stop adding fuel to the fire. Besides I was sure I had raised the winning argument.

'They come round for the whole weekend, every weekend, because their mother is trying to find herself', cynicism in her voice, 'and their whole week of annoyance comes out in those two days'

She looked away, waiting for a retort. I left it. In fact I decided to change the subject. I desperately wanted to convince them to delete the video of me, but I knew that that sort of challenge could only be won on a one to one basis. I still needed to change the subject though.
