Susan smiled. 'You mean until she asks you to'. She then stood, looking down at the two of us, who had locked eyes ready for an argument. 'Anyway, I'm going to leave you two for five minutes, find my sister and get her to turn down that music', she said. She swiveled and strolled off.
'What makes you think I'm a virgin?', I asked aggressively, once Susan had taken a few steps away.
'You are though, aren't you?'
'Who told you that?', I was so furious, not necessarily with him, but with whomever had betrayed my trust. Aiden immediately sprung to mind, but then I reminded myself I had not made him privy to that private information. Only two people knew for certain I was a virgin, Gemma and Carla.
'No one told me, alright. I worked it out'
'What do you mean?'
'Aiden kept saying you weren't giving out and that he had only cheated on you because you wouldn't. That indicated to me that either he was too much in a hurry to have sex, that he couldn't wait for you, or you were a virgin and were willing to let him cheat on you to maintain your virginity'.
I thought about what he said. Was I willing to allow him to cheat on me?
'Are you trying to insinuate that I drove Aiden to cheat on me'
He raised his hands in a defensive posture. 'I'm only suggesting your reluctance to have sex with him, pushed him into pastures new'.
I had become incredibly heightened. I could feel the blood coursing though my veins. 'So, basically, you are only with me to see if you can pop my cherry, to boldly go where no other boy has been before?'
He smiled. 'Like the Star Trek reference. But no, I don't expect to....as you so eloquently put it....pop your cherry. I like your spirit.'
'Well trust me, you have no chance of getting my spirit or my virginity, I'm only here because the girls in my hockey team think you stole Carla's pendant'.
