Chapter 38: New Guy

???'S P.O.V:

I paced in the small bedroom, glancing at the girl on my bed.

Just leave her there.

I can't. This is Harley we're talking about.

Yeah, I know. But I mean, when she wakes up she'll just think you kidnapped her. She doesn't even know us.

Well I know her. So shut it! I make the decisions here and I say we stay and watch over here.

Are you sure you make the decisions? We should have just left her in the cafeteria. We should just dump her out into the hallway right now.

There's gas still.

And?

I didn't respond. Maybe he had a point... Harley never noticed me anyway. She doesn't even know I exist. While on the other hand I know pretty much everything about her. I remembered something on the internet. I chuckled and mumbled, "youdai please notice me."

Of course she didn't answer. She just layed there like she had for 15 minutes now. I thought she was dead before but I checked her pulse. Still steady, surprisingly. Although knew thing kept nagging me.

Why did Joker leave her like that? I thought he at least cared some about her! I mean... I sighed. Who am I kidding? Joker doesn't care for anyone. Maybe he liked her when he was Jack but.... He's not Jack anymore.

I glanced at Harley one more time before I walked through the door to the dorm bathroom.

Harley's P.O.V:

Ugh.... My head throbbed. Where was I? I sat up but swayed and plopped right back down again. Whoa. Head rush. I sat up slowly this time. I looked around me. This wasn't my dorm. Nor was kg Puddins.

Puddin!!! I jumped up. Where was he?! Is he alright?! Did he make it out of the gas alright?! Did the mask not work for him as well?!

I headed for the dorm door. Only one way to find out. I reached their the handle. But when I was about to open the door and hand grabbed my arm. I jerked back and punched the person.

It was a boy. He stumbled back and his back hit the wall. He let out a grunt of pain. He massaged his jaw while staring at me. Then he smiled.

"You can really pack a punch, Harls."
