Chapter 43: Misty

Harley's P.O.V:

Harley?"

I wiped my eyes and blinked rapidly to clear my vision. When I spoke my voice was raspy.

"Hey, Jack."

He let me in, seeing my expression. I walked in and sat on his bed.

"He.... he broke up with me, Jack.... Joker broke up with me. He never loved me." I wiped my eyes again. He sighed.

"I expected as much."

I glared at him and he smiled apologetically. I sighed and nodded.

"I guess everyone did, huh?"

I looked down. I sniffed and looked back up. Whoa. I didn't notice how close he was to me. I could feel a blush rising up. I gazed into his- I've never noticed before, but.... his super melty chocolate eyes.... We both leaned forward. He closed his eyes. I blinked. What was I doing? I jumped off the bed and walked out the door before I changed my mind. That was.... that was a new low..... I couldn't just kiss a guy right after my break up! Even Joker didn't deserve that. I don't deserve that....that regret later on....

I walked to my dorm and barged in. Ivy wasn't there but Kitty sprang up, concerned. I embraced her and started crying again. And I told her everything, leaving no detail out. I even told her about Jack. She stood silently through it all.

When I finished she nodded sympathetically. She smiled sadly and looked me in the eyes.

"Harley listen to me. I know your heartbroken so I'm not going to say suck it up, Buttercup. Just remember this. Sometimes all you have to do is forget what you feel and remember what you deserve. Alright?" I nodded solemnly.

Someone suddenly entered the dorm. I turned to look at the person. She had dark blue eyes, her hair was black and in a bob, bangs swept to the side. She was wearing a dark blue crop top over a black tank top and black jeans with blue converse. I've never seen her before in my life.

"Who are you and what are you doing in here?" I snarled. She sneered at me and I reached for my hammer. Kitty stopped me and said softly.

"This is Misty. Misty Pierce."
