Bella's P.O.V:

We walked in to what I thought was the cafeteria. As soon as we stepped in Harley turned around to face us, her skin a deathly pale.

"Harls, what's wrong?!" Misty asked, concerned for her newest friend.

When Harley spoke, her voice was raspy. I felt goosebumps but my face stayed composed.

"Him."

I looked past her, and there, over her shoulder, was a boy that had snow white skin, neon green hair, emerald green eyes, and red lips. So red that it was like blood. I cringed, his image disturbing, but I also stared, for I thought it was also curious. Fascinating almost. He glanced up and smirked. I looked down. When I looked back up he was talking to another girl.

She had long curly brown hair with crystal blue eyes. Her plump lips were turned up in a smirk. She wore a black shirt with dark blue ripped jeans, followed by combat boots. I gaped. Where have I seen that face before?

As I pondered Misty spoke.

"Harley? Is that.... him..?"

Harley nodded slowly, almost reluctantly. Misty just stared at him in shock.

I opened my mouth. "Who?" I asked, my eye brows furrowed.

And Misty eagerly jumped into the conversation of who they called 'The Joker'.

I listened intently. I even showed emotion at some parts.

When Misty was done, Harley had tears in her eyes but was trying to hide it. I could barely make out her whisper, "I want him back so badly but... I don't know. I just-just don't know." Her voice cracked at the end and she walked out, trying to do it calmly but rushing some. I followed her to see her break down near the bathrooms next to us. She sobbed into my shoulder. I patted her back awkwardly. I didn't know what to do in situations like these.

That's when it hit me like a bullet. I couldn't stop myself from blurting it out.

"Hailey!"
