Chapter 17: Jack?!

Harley's P.O.V:

I looked around for Jack. Hopefully he didn't change. I'd still like him I guess but it'd be a shame to have his perfect face messed up like Harvey's. I spotted vibrant, neon green hair in the crowds of now abnormal people. But Jack didn't have that bright of green hair. His was dyed just regular green. Not neon. I looked away.

The green hair caught my eye again. It seemed like the owner was walking towards us. I bit my lip and looked away again, but couldn't help glancing back once it twice. Or maybe six times.

Finally the person was close enough so I could see his face. I squinted my eyes. No. It couldn't be... It's not...

"Jack!?" I blurted out before I could think. The guy grinned and chuckled.

"Well hello, Harley. You haven't changed I see." He said in a throaty (but what I thought was also seductive) voice as he checked me out. I felt my cheeks heating up.

I heard as gasp from Red. Looks like she finally spotted him. "Jack! What-what the... what's wrong with your.... your... "

"Face?" Jack finished for her. She gulped. Well I didn't think anything was wrong. His hair was a vibrant neon green and I actually liked it. His lips were ruby red, and stained on the sides of his mouth like a crimson smile. His eyes were like his hair. His eyes were pretty before. But now they're gorgeous. Brightish forest green. I could stare into them forever and ever. I almost didn't hear the sounds of shock coming from kitty or anyone else. I was mesmerized. I thought he was... well... I don't even know. His skin was pearly white. I can't believe that I would ever be jealous of a boy's skin.

"Dude. You got messed up real bad. What happened to you?" Harvey asked, sounding horror struck. His tone made me kind of angry. There's nothing wrong with him!

Jack shrugged and smiled. Oh how I loved his smile....

"You don't remember?" Eddie asked.

"Oh I remember. And I'll never forget."
