The fuzzy sound of a male voice muffled through Lyra's ears, although she couldn't make out a word he said. She could feel her body quickly healing up, but not quickly enough. The process of healing is more painful than being injured, she whined out in pain as she could feel her bones snapping back into place, ligaments springing back to their original elasticity.

Josh dropped down to his knees, the small girl flinching away from him. She was covered in blood from head to toe, her clothes ripped and beaten. Josh inspected the slender female beneath him, battered and bloody. The only distinguishable feature being her long flowing green hair. She turned away from him and curled up into a ball, hugging her keeps to her tightly as a popping noise erupted out of her body. He winced at the sound as it tore through him, turning his stomach.

"Please don't hurt me.", the frail shaking girl cried out in a raspy, worn voice. Josh made sure to speak softly to her, "Miss, are you okay? What happened? It's okay I'm here to help you." She sat up and backed away from him, sliding her bottom across the dirt. Lyra looked up at the yellow haired man, inspecting him.

Josh let out a loud breath, the female's cold radiating blue eyes meeting his. The pale woman coughed, spitting out blood. Josh scooted his knees to get closer to her, she held out her hands to shield herself defensively, "Please don't come any closer." She begged weakly.

"I won't hurt you I promise, I want to help you." Josh said softly to try and calm the injured girl in front of him down. "My name is Josh Dun, I want to make sure you're okay. Please let me help you." He whispered in the most calming tone he could muster, his stomach knotting in fear that the unknown girl was severely hurt. She had to be, he reasoned, she was covered head to toe in blood.

Lyra nodded slowly, "Fine, just don't make any sudden moves. Be slow." She said after inspecting Josh. Studying his muscular structure, locking her winter blue eyes with his warm chocolate ones. She didn't have a choice, she needed help if she was going to survive and she knew it.

Josh gasped as he stood up and approached the girl. "What's your name?" He asked, looking down at her, worry coating his handsome face.  "Lyra...just Lyra." He slowly knelt down in front of her and slowly extended his arms out.

"I'm going to pick you up now, Lyra. You have a beautiful name by the way." She nodded, closing her eyes tightly, whimpering as Josh picked her up bridal style. "Do you want me to take you to the hospital?" He asked quietly. Lyra's eyes flew open, "N-no!" She yelled, her voice filled with panic as her cold shaking body rested in Josh's strong arms.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry for asking." He said nervously, tripping over his words as he carried her out of the forest and over to his car. "I just need somewhere to rest and I'll be fine." She said, her voice faltering and cracking as he set her down in the back seat, laying her delicate body down.

"You can rest at my house if you'd like, Lyra. I promise I'll do whatever I can to help you." Lyra smiled softly, Josh could tell she was trying not to cry, her eyes giving her away. She nodded in agreement as the bright yellow haired man brought the car to life, driving the short distance back to his house.
