Before Us (Levi Ackerman X Reader)

Chapter 3: Experimentation

"Welcome all," Mr. Isayama greeted, "as of tonight, experiment X-KYo will begin. Before beginning, however I wish to tell you about the system so you will know what to do.

"The system as you know takes place in 844. The terrain will take place in ancient times about 2000 years ago, there will be creatures called Titans there which will have very little known about them. All that is known is that they are cannibals who eat human beings for the fun of it.

"You however, will live safe behind three walls. Wall Maria is the outermost wall, Wall Rose is the Mid-Wall, and Wall Sheena is the interior. You may choose where to live after getting in the system.

"There is a problem, as when you enter the system, you will lose your memories of this world and therefore forgetting everything I have said. Instead, you will be given programmed memories which may be or may not be useful inside.

"One more thing before you all are dismissed, the training that you have received before coming here will come in handy for some. Since there are Titans, you will decide whether or not to fight them in three different military branches: The Survey Corps, who attack the titans in their territory, the Garrison, who help repair and watch the wall, and the Military Police Brigade, who defend the king in the interior. Whatever you have learned in those times of training, use. For now, congratulations for making it this far. Project X-KYO begins now!"

"Sir!" Everyone exclaimed and saluted a salute they were taught. Their right hand on their chest and their left hand behind their back.

"Now report to your age groups. If you are unsure, check the board to the right." Said Mr. Isayama.

(y/n) knew her age group. In fact she was with Ansel.

"Ansel!" She greeted, running towards him.

"Hey little girl," Ansel said, "someone looks a bit cheery right now. I always thought you would be the one who would just go 'whatever' through this whole thing." He pulled a derp face when he mentioned the word whatever.

She gave a small laugh, "I guess when I met you this morning you had some influence on me. In fact, you're the first person that ever became my friend."

Ansel wasn't really surprised. She was very moody this morning but who knew one person can turn things around in just a short amount of time.

"Well I'm honored," he said bowing like a Prince. She chuckled.

"I guess this is it huh?" He said as they both walked into the older teenage group room. The air around them immediately filled with gloom and realization about what was about to happen, "are you ready?"

She nodded, "I'll meet you on the other side,"

They were sorted in alphabetical order from their last names. She followed a robot who led her to a stiff looking bed.

"Please lie down," said the robot. She did as she was told. The robot placed wires connected to small thin square pads on her head, mainly her forehead. They also placed it on her arms and legs. Speciffically located on the joints.

"Just relax your body miss," the robot said, "your pod will begin the system in a few seconds."

The robot placed a curved glass on top over her body and cold gas came upon her body, and with that they system began and she blacked out.
