Chapter 20: Return

"Hey Isabel!" Furlan called out, waving his hand in the air so that she could see her across the crowded hallway. He ran towards her, "Have you seen (y/n)?"

"I was about to ask you the same thing," she said, "I'm actually scared, The way she sounded last night, you don't think she'll actually do it right?"

"She can't, we can find another way to get the three of us in. Let's see if Dr. Yeager knows where she is."

As if on cue, Furlan spotted Dr. Yeager having a conversation with a nurse, examining a clipboard. "Doctor!" He exclaimed, grabbing his attention. The two of them ran towards him as he dismissed the nurse. "Have you seen (y/n) anywhere?" He asked trying to catch his breath.

"No, not since yesterday." Dr. Yeager said, "Why do you ask?"

"We need to talk to her about this whole idea going back. Based on her tone yesterday gives me the feeling that she will go back there. It seems too risky! Going back to hell like that."

Dr. Yeager remained silent.

"We don't understand why she would want to go back. I mean to save Levi sure but this is just insane! If we go back we might forget again."

"I understand," said Dr. Yeager, "you are concerned for your friend and based on her actions as you concluded, deep down she's concerned about your other friend. Tell me, by any chance the two were very close?"

"No," Isabel shook her head, "she would be by his side sure-"

"And when they first met, Levi hated her." Furlan said, "But...once, I spotted the two of them on the roof. Talking as if they were old friends or lovers or something."

Wait a second, Furlan thought, she couldn't possibly...and just for...

"Doctor," said Furlan, "you don't think-"

The doctor nodded, "She seemed to have fallen in love with him. She visited before closing hour in my office. She insisted and I had no choice."

Furlan was shocked, (y/n) would risk her life out of love for Levi. And he let her go back. He clenched his teeth

"Where is she?" He yelled, grabbing the doctor by the collar, "Tell me where is she?!"

"She's...in the infirmary unit...in the pod room...where they keep the spare pods..." He stuttered.

Furlan dropped the doctor on the ground and ran towards the infirmary unit.

"Furlan!" Isabel yelled following behind him. Furlan ignored her and went to look for (y/n). Why would you do it? He thought, were you just trying to get it out of our heads last night?

He finally reached the room. It was too late. Her small body was laying still onto the stiff bed, and her pod was sealed shut.

"What have you done?" Furlan whispered, "Get her out. Get her out now!'

"I'm afraid I can't," said the doctor pushing his glasses to the bridge of his nose,

"Pull her out now!" Furlan grabbed the doctor's collar.

"Furlan! Put him down!" Isabel yelled.

"Tch." Furlan dropped the doctor, "What are we supposed to do now?"

"I suggest," the doctor coughed, "you read this." He handed Isabel a small piece of paper.

She opened it revealing a small note left by (y/n).

"She wants us to find more about the system," she said, "how do we do that?"

"The Library has some information," the doctor said fixing his shirt, "I will also be helping. I know little but it should be enough."

A/N: Short chapter I know. Also, that song up there is called I'd Come for You by Nickelback and I love this song. The next chapter will be the finale and will probably be much longer. So yeah PEACE!!!
