The bell rang loudly into the entire district as the scouts waited for the gates to open and prepared for their Expedition outside the walls.

"Open the gate!" the commander yelled, "Today, humanity takes another step forward! Show me all that you have learned from training! Show them the strength of Humanity!"

The soldiers yelled as raised their blades and their fists in the air as a response. The gates began to open as the sound of cold wind began whispering against the gateway.

"The 23rd Expedition beyond the wall begins now! Onward!"

The horses neighed as they galloped through the wall. Eventually, her eyes met the green fields and gleaming sun, shining through the white clouds.

"It's so beautiful," she smiled to herself.

"What do you think you're doing?" One of the Scouts came and drove beside them, "Don't lose your focus. This isn't a sightseeing trip. At any moment we could run into a titan."

"Hah!" Isabel scoffed, "If we see one we'll clean it up immediately."

"Fool!" Isabel shrank back, "Do you want to be the first to die?"

"Jeez," (y/n) came into the conversation, "What's your problem btch?"

"The only reason why you can talk smack like that is because you haven't seen a titan yet."

"We'll be fine-"

"No!" the scout cut her off, "You have no idea how many soldiers have been eaten."

She looked back at her words. Tch, she thought, it can't be that bad. Just slice their necks and they're dead. No big deal.

"Titan spotted!" someone yelled, making her lose her train of thought, "Up ahead to the right! It's a 15-meter class!"

That's...a titan? She thought as she looked to the right to see a giant human-like creature waving its arms in the air as if to grab their attention.

"Three 10-meter class coming from behind!" She turned around. The expressions on their faces made her body tense up.

"Prepare for battle!" yelled the Commander, "Switch to Vertical Maneuvering Gear!"

She watched as men flew up from their horses and engaged into battle with the titans. Suddenly she heard footsteps coming from behind her. She turned around to face three 10-meter titans.

"They're right behind us!" she yelled.

"Hey!" Flagon yelled, "Stay on your course!"

In the midst of the battle, a familiar figure zoomed past her. "Levi! Wait!" she drove her horse to follow.

She jumped off of her horse, and onto the titan. Just as it was about to open its mouth, she dug her blades into its eyes as she jumped off its face. She turned around and ejected her grappling onto its spine and ejected gas allowing her to slit its nape. She jumped of the titan as a shower of blood trailed behind from the cut, staining her cloak as she landed on top of a nearby tree. That was...she thought... that was.. OH SHT! THAT WAS MY FIRST KILL! She looked over at Levi, LEVI, DID YOU SEE THAT?! I TOLD YOU WE COULD DEFEND-

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Isabel yelling. She looked to where she heard the scream: Isabel was in the hand of a titan. Sht! Just as she was about to go after them, Isabel cut the titan's thumb and Furlan cut off its nape. (Y/n) jumped off to level ground as she heard the sound of a horse galloping towards her.

"There you are!" she exclaimed as a pure white horse came to her. She stroked its neck as she climbed onto its back, "And not a stain on you either, that's surprising." She drove her horse toward Isabel and Furlan.

"Did you see that?!" Isabel exclaimed like a little child as she climbed onto her horse, "our first kill!"

"I saw!" (y/n) smiled as she ruffled her hair. Isabel smiled back.

"How about that Levi?!" Furlan exclaimed as Levi came towards them, "All of us took a Titan down by ourselves!"

"We did it!" Isabel squealed, "You see! We did it all on our own."

He looked at them with his eyes wide open with shock. He gave them a small smile, "Yeah...You did. All of you did well..."

"That was very impressive," Erwin said as he galloped towards the quartet, "however, you used too much gas." He directed the comment towards Levi, "out here you must be very conservative."

"Why you-" (y/n) said as she gritted her teeth, but Levi raised his hand to stop her.

"Are you telling me," Levi asked, returning to his cold tone, "to take more responsibility over my equipment instead of the lives of my friends?"

"Are you beginning to have doubts?" Erwin threw back at him, "If you are, it will be the death of you soon enough." He began to walk away

She clenched her teeth, "Why that asshle?! I swear I'm gonna kill that damn bastard-"

"(y/n) be quiet," Furlan scolded her, "he can still hear you."

"Let him," she said, "it will be the last thing he hears before I finish him off!"
