It's been almost four days since that incident, and (y/n) had already mastered her balance on her gear.

"Not bad," Furlan said, his hand on his chin, "I think you're ready."

(y/n) took the grappling from her gear back and fell down to the ground safely on her feet. She glanced over at Levi, who kept his eyes away from her and kept his arms crossed. Whenever she took a look at his youthful, tired face, she always thought of that moment. She could have sworn she had felt something. What was it that she felt? Every day, she thought of that kiss, the way his soft pale lips crashing into hers, the feeling she never felt before. She began to have sleepless nights, her head was full of questions. Why would Levi kiss me? Why do I keep thinking about it? Did I even bother to kiss him back?

She laid wide-awake on the couch, just like every night. She couldn't sleep, even though it wasn't exactly night-time in the Underground. Levi was asleep on his chair, giving off soft breathing and slight snores. That told her it was pretty late. She sat up and went outside. She needed time to think and process everything over, and every night, since that incident, she would go up to the roof to clear her head. (y/n) climbed up on the roof and laid down on the hard, stone surface, and stared at the rock ceiling above her.

She remembered, when she was only four, she and her family had lived up in the surface inside the interior. Her family decided to move to the Underground since her father had business there until he lost his job after. She could vaguely remember it all, especially the night sky. It was one of the reasons why she loved climbing rooftops and why she wanted to use the gear. Her mother used to teach her about the stars and the moon. One that she was always curious and often loved learning about, were constellations.

"Hey," She heard a man's voice say behind her. She turned around to see who it was. It was Levi. He walked towards her, "If you keep this up, I'd be happy to let you sleep up here."

She gave a slight laugh, but decided to remain silent after. She tried to block out the feeling of that night and just tried to remember about her parents.

"Sorry, "she said as she sat up, avoiding eye contact, "I couldn't stop thinking about what happened the other day."

Levi remained silent.

"I didn't know that you liked me," she said, "I always thought you hated me." She pulled her knees up to her chest.

He sat down beside her, one knee on his chest and his other leg dangling off the edge of the roof. "I don't hate you," Levi said, she turned her head to look at him, "I despise you."

"Yeah, way to break it to me Captain Obvious!" (y/n) said, slamming her back onto the hard rock roof, with her arms stretched out. She heard a small snicker escape Levi.

"However..." Levi said, "I don't understand why I kissed you either. When you first came here, I hated you. You're a moron, and couldn't even clean properly. But when you practiced balance on the gear, the way you dangled on the wires was pure stupidity." He kept a straight face and looked up, "What was it that you were looking at?"

"Huh?" She said as she looked up, "Oh... yeah. When I was three, my parents and I used to live on the surface. My parents eventually decided to move here for business reasons, but before we moved, my mom used to tell me stories about the night sky. She would explain the moon, the stars and the constellations."

"Constellations?" Levi asked. She nodded.

"Back then, people thought that the stars created images of mythological creatures and heroes. They decided to call them constellations." She explained, "Even though books about the outside world were banned, my mom decided to keep a book that was passed down from her family. We lost that book eventually. But I remember every constellation: Draco, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Taurus, and Virgo. My favorite was (favorite constellation or zodiac)."

Both of them remained silent and kept staring at the blank ceiling. (Y/n) lied down on the roof, with her hands behind her head.

"(y/n)..." Levi said, looking at her.

"Hm?" She said, trying to keep her eyes open.

"I love you," He said looking away, "...moron..." he muttered under his breath.

She sat up, "you're a real idiot you know?" she said, "and I love you too."

They looked at each other, and for the first time since their kiss, she had seen the dark storm that haunted his eyes, begin to fade away, and a small light created the scenery she had seen before. That's what it was, she thought. While she was observing his eyes, she didn't realize that their faces were centimeters apart. She smiled at him and closed the space between them. He closed his eyes as his arm began to wrap around her waist, pulling her a bit closer to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

They both pulled away, looking at each other. His eyes weren't what they used to look like before. They weren't the cold hearted eyes and his expression was different. She didn't know, she was just witnessed a side of Levi that no one knew about.

"You're an idiot," he said as he placed his hand on her cheek.

She laughed, "I'm guessing that's why you love me."

"Yes," he smiled, "yes it is."
