She screamed as she fell from her gear. Her body was dangling from the steel wires that prevented her from crashing into the ground.

"You're doing it all wrong moron," Levi scolded, "your balance is off and you keep clicking the wrong trigger."

"At least I'm trying aren't I, Captain?!" She yelled at him.

They've been doing the same thing all over again every single day. Levi and Furlan would teach her how to press the triggers on her gear to launch the steel wires and release the gas. She knew the triggers well, but while trying to keep her balance wasn't really her skill and her hesitation would get to her.

"You're doing fine," Furlan said, trying to comfort her, "give it one more shot."

"Alright," she got down from her gear, so that her feet were now on the ground.

She took a deep breath then clicked her triggers and the grappling hooks came out securing a place on the cliff where she could train her balance. She clicked another trigger and was immediately launched into the air. Okay, here goes, she thought.

She pushed herself off the side of the cliff and held her arms out to help her balance. She tried to even it out with her arms but she lost focus and she fell.

"SHT!" She yelled as she fell down, her gear saving her five feet away from the ground.

She saw Levi and Furlan, arms crossed as she was upside down. She could feel her face turn red and her head began to ache.

"Let's call it a day," Furlan said, helping her down, "we'll try again tomorrow."

(y/n) couldn't sleep and was instead tossing and turning, forcing herself to sleep. Levi wasn't at his chair where he would keep watch of her. To think she's been living with them for two weeks so far and he still doesn't trust her. Maybe I should try practicing it myself, she thought, it might help to figure things out on my own. Furlan's probably asleep, but where's Levi? She shook her head. Whatever, who cares what that asshle does?

She got up as quietly as possible and went to grab her gear for the closet. She strapped her harness on and quietly tiptoed out the door. The cliff where they go to train wasn't that far. In fact, she just had to walk behind the house.

I have to master this, she thought, I have to. I have to show that shorty-ass captain clean freak what I'm made of. She clicked the triggers of her hand grips releasing the grappling hooks of her gear, aiming at the topmost part of the cliff. She clicked her other trigger releasing the gas out of her gear, just enough to make her go up. She took a deep breath in and she pushed herself off the cliff allowing her to dangle onto the wires of the gear.

She evened out the weight of her body to each side. She almost had it until she got carried away and lost her focus and fell. (y/n) prevented herself from screaming so she just closed her eyes.

She tried again and again but no matter how hard she tried, she failed miserably. She let go of her controls and covered her face with her hands. Why can't I do it?! She thought, It should be really simple but why I can't I do it?!

"Moron," she heard someone say, "How many times do I have to tell you?" His short silhouette came out of the shadow where he had watched her. He had his gear on him as well.

"Levi!" she said shocked, as she fell down, hitting the ground. She rubbed the back of her head as she sat up.

"For someone so stupid, you seem to have a pretty hard head." Levi said, arms crossed with his usual tone. She mimicked him in an insulting way as she stood up. She hoped he had not heard it, but of course Levi heard it.
