Was I paying attention? No, but did I hear everything? Yes, definitely. I'm totally screwed. I wasn't paying attention and then I hear we're having a quiz? Guess who's not sleeping tonight just because of this cursed mythical stuff we're talking about in class. Dammit, I'm not interested in this fantasy thing.
The bell soon rang and everyone packed up. English was my last period for today and honestly, it had to end on the worse possible way. I'm fed up about talking those Ancestral Mythical whatever stuff.
I went straight to my locker and stashed all the unnecessary things in my bag, mainly school books and two notebooks. I picked up the book which contained information about the things we discussed earlier.
"Heh, who cares about those? Poor queen though, lost her daughter." I mumbled while closing my locker, heading straight for the school gates after.
I'm Mika Cray by the way. Eighteen years old and still studying at a high school. I'm soon to be graduating and I can't wait for college. College is all I'm excited about.
I headed home by the bus, which is actually convenient since the bus stop is close to where I live. I stood in front of a two-storey brown house. I lived here since I was a toddler and all I can say is, a lot of memories have been made under this roof. You could say that most of it were good but not all. There were misunderstandings, conflicts, and a lot more.
"Oi, orange hair!" I heard someone say from my left.
"Oi, black hair!" I teased back.
This person is one of my friends in this neighborhood. His name is Kyle and you would usually see him in a biking gear with a silver skateboard hanging in his right arm. We don't go to the same school, which sucks since he's pretty much the ONLY friend I have.
Well, if that ain't contradictory...
"You're using a skateboard again? I'm telling you, one of these days, a bus will run over you."
"Maybe that's gonna be you."
We laughed our heads off. We always make jokes like this and its never new to us anymore.
"Would you join me in my skate spot?"
"I have to decline, have a pop quiz tomorrow." I said and left for the living room in the house. As usual, I would check the kitchen for any snacks and bring them back up in my room but since there's nothing, I decided to just settle for some protein bars from the vending machine at school.
At least, I have something to eat.
Anyway, I went up to my bedroom and threw my bag on the bed, the contents of it slipping out. I looked for something to change in my drawers, which were a pair of sweatpants and a baggy sweatshirt. I don't know what's up with the weather in where I live, its very hot during the day and somewhat cold at night.
Climate change sucks.
I picked up the notebook that I stashed away in my bag. It contained all the necessary information about that discussion from English earlier. Apparently, someone had left it lying around the corridor leading to my homeroom class. It was also the sole reason as to why I was late by a minute in that class; I had to check if someone was looking and if it has an identification card in it.
Luckily there wasn't.

I struggled hard to retain all the information in my head. I've been reading the notes for about a hundredth time now and I don't think any detail went in my mind. It seems as though I was just reading for the sake of it.
To my worst luck, I ran out of protein bars. I was actually binge eating it while skimming over the notes of whoever wrote this.
"Oh, dear, Ancestral Mythical, how do you retain information like this?"
I only mimicked how the character was speaking in these notes. The owner of this went through their way in storytelling how they understood the story.
"Oh, dear, Ancestral Mythical, retain all these information in my head right the freaking now!"
My laughter broke out in my room. This character is too funny, a little exaggerating, if I say so myself. Suddenly, I felt a strange surge of dizziness come upon me and I immediately blacked out. It felt so excruciatingly painful, almost as if my brain is literally squeezing its juices and possibly, my head. I can only say, its worse than a headache or a migraine.

I opened my eyes. I think I was out cold for a solid five minutes and the pain was nowhere to be felt. Still, my hands went to support my head but I felt strange. I looked over to the notebook that I was using earlier and found that there were new things written in there, mainly questions.
My eyes went wide, the things that I was seeing earlier were nowhere to be found. It just disappeared without a trace, like that princess in the story!
Wait, how can I even say that? I haven't listened to any discussions about it! This is weird...
I desperately tried looking for any note in every page but there was none. I think I know how the queen felt with her precious daughter, who is also an Ancestral Mythical, went missing at such a young age with not a single trace nor aura of her in the kingdom.
The queen felt utter despair yet, even if its hard for her, she gave orders to her son to look for the lost princess.
"Gah! What is my conscience saying?!" I exclaimed. I was just too surprised to even comprehend what was happening to me at the very moment. Everything that I've read for seemingly two hours had been etched into my mind. I don't know what kind of supernatural thing happened but I'm sure that I did something to this extent.

BTW: The Mika Cray from here is different from the story where she stars in but she still looks the same. Bah, I don't even consider that story to be canon (because I represent Mika there and there's a dastardly ship that formed from an ALTERED TIMELINE, which by the way, I won't be continuing anymore idk why maybe its like so frickin confusing to understand)

i mean its really confusing cause you got the main chara which is mika and nick allegedly kinda looks at her in a different way now but he cant quite point it out yet oops im making an illegal and dastardly ship bahaha i kms for that before. also i kinda already hinted out why its called ALTERED TIMELINES.
