I'm sure that scream was from this direction, north of the shack. Even though I've never heard her scream or whatnot, I'm almost sure that the scream belonged to her.
Adrenaline rushed through my blood and veins. The worry never left me, and it only grew upon hearing the scream.
Please, France, be alright! Who knows what your sisters will do to me if you got hurt! I'm going to have to lose my head!
I spotted her, she didn't look terrified or anything, she looked like she had a grasp of the situation. She had a dagger in hand and looked cautious with her surroundings.
It was definitely a wrong move for me. She shot the dagger at me and it was too late for me to dodge. It hit my arm and made a clean cut through my clothes and skin.
"Oh my god, you idiot! What the hell are you doing there?! Look what happened!"
The blood was gushing out of the open wound and it was obvious that she was panicking.
"Dear, you need to heal that or an infection might happen in it." I heard a voice from above me. It sounded soft, almost angelic.
They soon came down from a branch, perfectly landing on the ground. France didn't look unfazed by the person in front of us; she stayed standing by my side, still in a panic from seeing an open wound.
"Don't you have powers? Heal the wound, immediately."
Realizing that fact, France moved closer to me, taking my arm. She grabbed hold of her necklace, which magically, had water in it.
"It's a medicinal water." She said as soon as she noticed me looking at it.
"Focus on the wound, don't let the water slide off to the unwounded parts."
"You speak vaguely." She frowned but continued on manipulating the water. It was painful, I seethed my teeth with the impact of it. It was like dropping a small amount of alcohol on my wound and...
I don't get why I couldn't think clearly. France seemed so perfect at doing this, the person spoke as if it was just her first time in doing it.
"You weren't supposed to be hit, idiot!" She reprimanded me, putting some more pressure with the water on my wound.
"Ow, hey!"
"You were not my target, she was my target!"
"She?" I questioned, absent-mindedly
"The person standing there."
"Oh right, my apologies. I was only interested in training her skills with the weapons she carry. If you didn't come here, you wouldn't get hurt." it was obvious she was punishing me but her tone remained calm and soft. I wonder how she maintains that kind of tone.
"I heard a scream, that is the reason why I came to check."
"You heard my scream?" She jumped a bit, "I didn't know it was that loud..."
"It was enough of me to run out of the shack and look for you." I said without hesitation, after all, that was the truth, "I got worried."
She rolled her eyes and stood up. "The wound is gone."
"Good, you pass!" The person clapped her hands, congratulating France.
"I did? Yet I didn't injure you or anything."
"Didn't I tell you that you should always be wary with your surroundings? I'm not your only enemy, France. You should also pay attention to those who want to creep up on you and attack you." She reminded her.
I stood up, brushing off the grass from my clothes. "Who are you?"
"Right, I didn't introduce myself yet." She stepped out of the shadows to give a better look of her, "It's nice to meet you, Prince Nicholas, I am known to be as the female warrior of the Celestial Kingdom."
The Celestial Kingdom? They're the ones who keep watch of the moon and the sun! The people who live there have powers originating from celestial bodies, hence the name of their kingdom.
"I am called as Rose by many. I think you should too." She warmly smiled at me, as if she's officially welcoming me into her life.

"I took in France two days ago, when I found her throwing her weapons at a nearby tree. I saw that she had more potential and so, I trained her."
I had to fetch our horses first before following her to the Celestial Kingdom. I never knew that the kingdom was so mesmerising, everything sparkled clean!
There was an undeniably large distance between me and France, I guess she was still mad at me. Good lord, I broke my promise to her; I didn't convince Vensetta to help out.
"She's a fast learner, which was a surprise since what I taught her was only for experts. She managed to perfect everything." Rose added as we all headed for the palace.
"Well, she would perfect it in one go, that's what her mother taught her." I commented.
She remained silent from all those compliments.
"Ah, yes, her mother...I believe I've seen her cross this kingdom before these fateful events happened." She recalled, facing us for a while.
"You've seen the Queen of Metallicus?" I asked.
"Hmm yes. That was a long time ago, though."
"Long time ago? Was that around the time when they also disappeared?" I questioned further.
"There's no mistaking it..."
Still, France remained too silent it's beginning to feel suspicious. She knew it, too? What does she not know?
"Mother went here because she needed something from you, is it not, Rose? You personally attended to her." She said a few moments later.
"What's the use of further hiding it to you?"
"So that is a yes?! You interacted with her before-"
"Yes!"
I couldn't think of anything more to ask, my mouth got completely shut. What's strange is that, France seemed to relax. Wouldn't you be surprised, or raise suspicion when your mother met someone before going missing?
Rose led us inside of the palace. It looked much better than us, which I hated to admit. It looked like everything was made of glass.
"Please make the castle your home for a while. I'm sure my assistance will be of much help with you, and I mean you Nicholas."
"What assistance?"
"I can help you get your sister in one piece. By that, I mean, opening the path you need to take to get to her."
